Office of the County Commissioners
Washington, Pa., July 15, 1946
The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County
Commissioners on Monday, July 15, 1946, with the following members presents Commissioners
Cummins, Pettit, and Lowstuter and Controller Stuart.
Recorder of Deeds William D. Smith called into the meeting for the purpose of fixing
the salaries of employees in said office.
Motion by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the salaries of Mildred Amatangelo
and Florence F. Schlinski, employed as Transcribers, be fixed at $140.00 per month for the
year of 1946, effective July 1, 1946, and covering the period from that date to the first
Monday in January, 1947.
Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Smith, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that the salary of Alice Leckey, for
jthe month of August 1946, be fixed at $225.00,
Motion carried.
Recorder of Deeds Smith excused from the meeting.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the salary of Louis Mesey
employed as Assistant Engineer in the Court House, be fixed at $160,00 per month for the year
of 1946, effective July 5, 1946, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday
jin January, 1947.
Motion carried.
There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting
was adjourned.

j The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County
! Commissioners on Wednesday, August 21, 1946, with the following members presents Commissioners
Cummins and Pettit, and Controller Stuart. The following officeholders were called into the
meeting for the purpose of adjusting salaries in their respective offices Coroner, Michael
Sweeney; Treasurer, James Douglas; Chief Deputy Sheriff, Matthew Lepovich, representing Grant
Furlong, Sheriff; Register of Wills, Leo L. Considine; Recorder, William D. Smith; Clerk of
I Courts, F. Leo Wright; and Prothonotary, Robert Crawford.
i Motion Mr. Crawford seconded Mr. Pettit that the salaries of employees in

the Prothonotary's Office be adjusted as follows for the positions set forth for the year 1946,

effective July 1, 1946, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in
