Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the following rates of pay be jfixed in the Engineering and Bridge Departments for the year 1946, covering the period from the I j first Monday in January, 1946, to the first Monday in January, 1947: I Transitman $ 1.05 per hour . Chainmen .95 " " r , Operators 1.05 " ". j Foremen 1.05 " " Skilled Labor 1.05 " " Semi -skilled labor .8o " " Common Labor .65 " " j Inspectors 7.00 per day, plus travel- ing expenses i Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that all persons employed as extra f Court Clerks by the Prothonotary and Clerk of Courts be paid at the rate of $4.50 per day; that persons employed as extra clerical help, having ninety days' experience, be paid at the rate of $4.50 per day, provided that the official holding said office in which such clerical help is employed, shall first certify to the County Controller that such extra clerical help has j had at least ninety days' experience in that office; that all other clerical help be paid at the rate of $4.00 per day; and that substitute cleaners be paid at the rate of $2.50 per day; all of the foregoing rates to be effective for the -time actually employed in the respective capacities for the year 19463, covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1946, to i the first Monday in January, 1947, Motion carried. i Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that all persons employed as laborers on the Court House Cleaning Force be paid at the rate of 65 cents per hour for the time actually employed in said capacity for the year 1946, covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1946, to the first Monday in January, 1947. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was adjourned. I M I NO. 2-S i Office of the County Commissioners j Washington, Pa., January 18, 1946 The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County Commissioners on Friday, January 18, 1946, with the following members presents Commissioners Cummins, Pettit and. Lowstuter; Controller Harvey Stuart. Motion byU-. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Loxstuter, that the salary of James 0. Roupe, Warden of the County Jail, be fixed at $225.00 per month for the year 194.6, covering the period ifrom the first Monday in January, 1946, to the first Monday in January, 1947. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was adjourned.
