PETTIT, JOHN N. ❑INEIL, COMMISSIONERS NO. 18-S Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., November 12, 1946 The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County Commissioners on Tuesday, November 12, 1946, with the following members present: Commissioners Cummins, Pettit and Lowstuter, and Deputy Controller Dentel. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the salary of J. Winfield Reed, Lloird W. Carson and Lee M. Crowthers, appointed as expert witnesses in connection with appeals taken by the County of Washington, the School District and the Borough of McDonald on the 1947 assessment as made I by the local Assessor and to make an appraisal of real estate in the Borough of McDonald, to testify i if necessary, in support of the said appeals, be fixed at $5.00 each per day for the actual number of days so employed, the said rate of pay representing Washington County's proportionate share of a to i daily rate of $15.00 each for the said experts as agreed upon by this Board, the School District I and Borough of McDonald, each taxing body to pay one-third of the daily rate of pay for each and to be billed accordingly by the aforementioned experts. Motion carried. )Notion by Mr, Cummins, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the salary of Carmella Gilmore, ! of Canonsburg, Pa., Registrar and Inspector of Registrations in the Registration Office be fixed at $160.00 per month for the year 1946, effective Nov. 12, 1946, and covering the period from that date, to the first Monday in January, 1947. Motion carried. j adjourned. I NO. 19-S There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., Nov. 25, 1946 The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County with the following members present: Commissioners Cummins, Pettit and Lowstuter, and Deputy Controller Dentel. Sheriff Grant Furlong called into the meeting for the purpose of fixing the salary of the Secretary in his office. Motion by Mr. Furlong, seconded by Mr. Pettit, that salary of Shirley Edwards, Secretary in the Sheriffts Office, be fixed at $170.00 per month for the year 1946, effective November 16, 1946, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1947. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that salary of Harriet Trinoni, Secretary in the Office of the Director of Veterans Affairs, be fixed at $160.00 per month for I BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGT❑N COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA R❑SS R. Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salary of Raymond Curley, Clerk in the office of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes, be fixed at $200.00 per month for the year 1946, effective November 16, 1946, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1947; and that the salary of Kenneth Murray, Clerk in the office of the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes, be fixed at $175.00 per month for the year 1946, effective December 1, 1946, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, i 1947. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was adjourned. I i NO. 20-S Office of the County Commissioners ! Washington, Pa., December 9, 1946 I The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County Commissioners on Monday, December 9, 1946, with the following members present: County Commissioners Cummins, Pettit and Lowstuter, and Deputy Controller Dentel. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the rate of pay for appraisers employed during 1945 and 1946, and until such time as further action is taken by the Board, for the purpose of assessing damages, assisting in the preparation of cases, and testifying in Court, be set at $12.00 per day for the actual number of days so employed. i Motion carried.
