Motion by Mr. Dentel that the salary of Vincent Massoek, Solicitor for the County Controll r,
be fixed at $150.00 per month for the year 1947, covering the period from the first Monday in Janua ,
1947, to the first Monday in January, 1948.
There being no second to this motion, it was declared lost.
4 Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the salary of Vincent Massock, '
Solicitor for the County Controller, be fixed at $175.00 per month for the year 1947, covering the !
period from the first Monday in January, 1947, to the first Monday in January, 1948.

f Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the rate of pay for Special Field
Registrars employed by the Registration Commission be fixed at $10.00 per day for each day so j
employed for the year 1947, such rate of pay to include all travel and other expenses of persons

so employed; and that the rate of pay for local persons employed as Assistants to the Special
Field Registrars in the various places of registration in the County be fixed at $6.00 per day
for the actual number of days so employed for the year 1947.

of this action on the minutes of the Registration Commission.

The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County Commissioners
on Monday, February 10, 1947, with the following members present: County Commissioners Cummins,
Pettit and Lowstuter, and Deputy Controller Dentel.
Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salary of Douglas Cahill,
employed as Chief Clerk in the Real Estate Department, be fixed at $225.00 per month for the year
1947, effective February 10, 1947, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in
January, 1945.
Motion carried.

Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salary of Betty Jane Hugus,
employed as a Clerk by the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes, be fixed at $160.00 per
month for the year 1947, effective February 1, 1947, and covering the period from that date to the
j first Monday in January, 1948. I

Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the rate of pay for persons
employed in the Court House as Substitute Cleaners be fixed at $2.50 per day for the time actually i
employed for the year 1947, covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1947" to the
first Monday in January, 1948.

on Wednesday, April 9, 1947, with the following members present: Commissioners Cummins, Pettit and
Lowstuter, and Deputy Controller Dentel.

Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salary of John Beck, General
j Foreman of the Bridge Department be fixed at $260.00 per month for the year 1947, effective April 1,

j 1947, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1945; and that the
salary of Thomas Enright, Night Building Superintendent in the Court House, be fixed at $155.00 per
month for the year 1947, effective April 16, 1947, and covering the period from that date to the
first Monday in January, 1948; also, that the rate of pay for Inspectors in the Bridge Department be
adjusted to $8.50 per day, plus traveling expenses.
