Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that all persons employed as laborers in the Court House be paid at the rate of 75 cents per hour for the time actually employed in said , capacity for the year 1947, covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1947, to the first Monday in January, 1948. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was s adjourned. NO. 2-S Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., January 17, 1947 i , The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County Commissioners on Friday, January 17, 1947, with the following members present: County Commissioners Cummins, I Pettit and Lowstuter; and Deputy Controller Dentel. Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the salary of James 0. Roupe, i Warden at the County Jail, be fixed at $235.00 per month for the year 1947, covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1947, to the first Monday in January, 1948. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salaries of the following persons employed in the Court House in the respective positions set forth for the year 1947, be i fixed as follows, effective when stated, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1948: Russell Scott, Janitor, effective Jan. 16, 1947 $ 150.00 per month Elvernia Stevens Cleaner, effective Jan. 6,1947 72.50 " " Nellie Manning, Cleaner, effective Jan. 16,1947 72.50 " " Lulu Swart, Cleaner, effective Jan. 6, 1947 72.50 Motion carried, with Mr. Pettit voting "No". Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salary of Hugh O'Donnell, Custodian of the Records in the Tax Assessment Department, be fixed at $135.00 per month for the i year 1947, covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1947, to the first Monday in 1 January, 1948. Motion carried. , Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that all persons employed as skilled I laborers in the Court House be paid at the rate of $1.15 per hour for the time actually employed in said capacity for the year 1947, covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1947, , to the first Monday in January, 1948. ' Motion by Mr. Dentel that the salary of Vincent Massoek, Solicitor for the County Controll r, be fixed at $150.00 per month for the year 1947, covering the period from the first Monday in Janua , 1947, to the first Monday in January, 1948. There being no second to this motion, it was declared lost. 4 Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the salary of Vincent Massock, ' Solicitor for the County Controller, be fixed at $175.00 per month for the year 1947, covering the ! period from the first Monday in January, 1947, to the first Monday in January, 1948. I Motion carried. f Motion by Mr. Pettit, seconded by Mr. Lowstuter, that the rate of pay for Special Field Registrars employed by the Registration Commission be fixed at $10.00 per day for each day so j employed for the year 1947, such rate of pay to include all travel and other expenses of persons I so employed; and that the rate of pay for local persons employed as Assistants to the Special Field Registrars in the various places of registration in the County be fixed at $6.00 per day for the actual number of days so employed for the year 1947. ! Motion carried, and the Chief Clerk in the Registration Office directed to make notation I I i of this action on the minutes of the Registration Commission. There being no further business to come before the Board at this time, the meeting was j i I adjourned. j I NO. 3-S I Office of the County Commissioners Washington, Pa., Feb. 10, 1947 The Salary Board of the County of Washington met in the office of the County Commissioners on Monday, February 10, 1947, with the following members present: County Commissioners Cummins, Pettit and Lowstuter, and Deputy Controller Dentel. Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salary of Douglas Cahill, employed as Chief Clerk in the Real Estate Department, be fixed at $225.00 per month for the year 1947, effective February 10, 1947, and covering the period from that date to the first Monday in January, 1945. Motion carried. i Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salary of Betty Jane Hugus, employed as a Clerk by the Board for the Assessment and Revision of Taxes, be fixed at $160.00 per month for the year 1947, effective February 1, 1947, and covering the period from that date to the j first Monday in January, 1948. I Motion carried. F Motion by Mr. Lowstuter, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the rate of pay for persons employed in the Court House as Substitute Cleaners be fixed at $2.50 per day for the time actually i employed for the year 1947, covering the period from the first Monday in January, 1947" to the first Monday in January, 1948.
