After due consideration, motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the con- tract for the snow plow be awarded to the C, K. Koontz Equipment Co,, Pittsburgh, Pa,, at their bid price of 4455,00, less 2%, ten days, from delivery of the plow at Washington, Pa, Motion carried and the County Controller requested to return the certified check of the unsuccessful bidder. There being no further business before the joint meeting, it was adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTES READ AND APPROVED! County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs, Cummins and O'Neil, Mr. Berryman being absent. Motion duly made and seconded that the agreement between Washington County and Louis De - Phillips, Box 223, Hickory, Pa,, be approved for the quarrying of sandstone from that certain tract of land located one mile south of Hickory in Mt, Pleasant,Township, in the mount of approximately 1500 tons at 20,d per "U" truck load. Motion carried. The reading of minute No. 41 on February 27, 1940 was confirmed and Minutes Nos. 42 and 43 were read and approved by the Board.
