O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS NO. 76 Office of the County Commnissioners, Washington, Pa., May 11, 1940. County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present being Messrs. Berryman] Cummins and O'Neil, i Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Air. Berryman, that a contract be executed between H. W. Findley, 4 Glass Street, Carnegie, Pa,, and Washington County Commissioners for the rental of one new 1940 Galion 10-ton 3-wheel Diesel Roller, equipped with Hydraulic Scarifier, Sprinkling Attach- ment - with cab, and Hydraulic Steer, valused at $6,592.20, said roller to be rented at'a monthly rate of 275.00 for a minimum period of twelve months. Motion carried,with Mr. O'Neil not voting. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Commissioners approve the payment of $1420.69 in favor of J. Albert Reed, attorney for Mary E. Closser, said amount to represent the verdict, interest and costs at No. 149 February Term, 1939, covering the damage to her property in connec- tion with the relocation of Route 113 in Amwell Township, it appearing that the appeal of the plaintiff has been discontinued. Motion carried, Upon petitions regularly presented in accordance with the provisions of the Act of Assembly governing such matters, the Board approved the appointment of A. P. Barnum as Assessor for the Borough of Allenport, to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Daniel P. O'Leary, regularly elected assessor therein and Sell W. Thomas as Assessor inthe 3rd Yard of the City of Washington, i to fill the vacancy caused by the death of Alfred Crockett, regularly elected Assessor therein. Mr. Patterson of the Pennsylvania Department of Highways, Uniontown,<,.Pennsylvania, presented the plans in connection with the improvement of L. R, 62090, showing the widths, grades, lines i and location of said highway in the Borough of Houston as established by the Secretary of Highways, subject to the approval of the County Commissioners, without any liability on their part for any damagesxesulting therefrom within the said borough, which said liability the Commissioners, under date of April 12, 1940, refused to assume. Therefore, upon motion duly made, seconded and carried, the County Commissioners do hereby approve the said widths, grades, lines and location in connection with the relocation and construo- tion of the said Route 62090 in the Borough of Houston as fixed by the plans submitted bytthe I ! Pennsylvania Department of Highways in accordance with the provisions of Section 1 of an Act of I Assembly, approved June 23, A.O. 1931, P.L. 920, as amended.
