County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berryman, Cummins and
I
O'Neil.
Motion duly made and seconded that payment in the amount of : 50.00 be authorized in favor
of John and Anna Turtzer in payment of damages in addition to such damage covered by the original
agteement with the said parties in the amount of $136.00 in connection with the reconstruction
and relocation of Route 62050, such additional amount to be allowed because of the destruction
of three fruit trees not included in the former settlement made March 26, 1940. Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the following; Article of Agreement be approved:
This Article of Agreement made and entered into this 20th day of July, 1940, by and between
Mrs. Georgia MlcClain of Canonsburg, Pa., of the first part and John D. Berryman, John N. O'Neil
and Ross R. Cummins, -County Commissioners, of Washington County, Pennsylvania, parties of the

second part, wi.tnesseth:
That the party of the first part for and in consideration of the sum of '1.00, and the
further consideration of $295.00, in the event this offer is accepted by the above named County
Commissioners of Washington Count3 . Pennsylvania, the party of the first part hereby agrees to

convey to the parties of the second part, a right of way for public travel across a, lot of ground
owned by party of the first part, located in Peters Townships Washington County, Pennsylvania,
laid right of way extending from a point on land of rim. D. Smith to a point on land of Walter
Donaldson, said right of way to be 40 feet in width along line of land of Donaldson, and to be

55 feet in width alone line of land of 74h. D. Smith, said distances to be computed from right of
way line of new road, State Highway Route 62026.
This herein mentioned consideration shall be considered as payment in full for any and all
damages to said lot of ground in reconstruction of said highway, including above additional right
of gray. Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the following appropriations be made to the organizations
set forth, in connection with defraying expenses for Pkfemorial Day, 'Yay 30, 1940:

Joint meeting of the County Commissioners and County Controller for the purpose of opening bid
for the renewal of the navigation lighting system on the Donora-Webster Bridge in accordance with
advertisement of the County Controller in Washington and Greensburg papers- present for County Com-
missioners, Messrs. Berryman, Cm-wins and O'Ueil; Deputy Controller G. J. Dentel present.
In connection with-.the foregoing, the following bid was opened and read in the presence of
the County Commissioners:

"We hereby submit our bid on wiring of the bridge at D6n_ora, Pennsylvania
according to plans and specifications for the sum of
Motion duly made and seconded that the contract for the foregoing work be awarded to the
Knestrick Electric Company, Washington, Pa., at their bid of �1550.00, said company to be advised
of the awarding of this contract and work to begin as soon as certificate has been presented, show-
ing that proper insurance is in force to protect the company and the contracting parties from all
liabilities under the lairs of this Commonwealth; certified check in the amount of $100.00 to be
returned after posting of Performance Bond in the amount of the contract, by the said company.
