County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs, Berryman, Cummins and
O'Neil.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Solicitor be authorized and directed to take
an appeal from the order of Judge John E. Fox, dismissing the preliminary injunction in the
voting machine case in the Dauphin County Court and take the necessary steps to perfect the
appeal in the name of the County of Washington* Motion carried.
There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.

After an unsuccessful conference held in Harrisburg, Pa*, with So M.- R. O'Hara, Secretary of
Commonwealth, on August 8, 1940, with a view to securing her consent to have the matter in con-
nection with Washington County voting machines deferred until an opporunity be given for another
referendum at the coming General Election on the question of discontinuance of voting machines,,
the County Solicitor was instructed to petition the Supreme Court for a supersedeas or stay of
the proceeding until the matter has been determined by them and he was further directed to object
to the immediate hearing and argument of the said matter as proposed by the Secretary of the
Commonwealth.
There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.
