Office of the County Commissioners,
Washington, Pa., Spetmeber 26, 1940.
County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present being Messrs.
Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the contract for the necessary ballots
fpr ise at toe General Election to be held November 5, 1940, be warded jointly to the Mononga-
hela Publishing Co., Monongahela, Pa., and the Ward Printing Company, Washington, Pa., at
their bid of $3985.00 for regular official ballots and regular official specimen ballots, and
$965.00 for special official ballots and special official specimen ballots upon which to submit
to the electors of Washington County the question of the discontinuance of voting machines in
the said county, and the necessary ballots for a Motion Picture Referendum in
the Borough of McDonald, making a total bid of $4950.00. Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the contract for the necessary election
supplies, including tally sheets, return sheets, numbered lists of voters, Voterts guides, et%
etc.0 required for use of the election officers at the General Election to be held November 5,
1940, packed in 188 boxes for use in boroughs, townships and third class cities, be warded to
to the William G. Johnston Company, Pittsburgh, Pa., at their bid of 687.49, Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the contract for the delivery of the
ballots, ballot boxes and election supplies for use in the General Election to be held November
5, 1940, in the various election districts of Washington County, be awarded to T. M. Bedillion
in accordance with his bid in the amount of $275.00. Motion carried.
Minutes No. 115-.- 116-116-A 117-118-119 were read and approved by the Board.
There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.
