Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mre Berryman, that the positions of Personal Property Tax
Clerk and Veterans' Graves Registrar be combined and the duties of both positions be performed
and fulfilled by one person.
Mr. Berryman called for remarks and Mr. O'Neil objected to combining the positions for the
reason that the duties of Personal Property Tax Clerk alone are more than enough to occupy one
person's time for the proper supervision and exercise of the duties of Personal Property Tax Clerk;
that the Veterans' Graves Registrar position is created by Act of Assembly as provided by the
County Code of 1929 and specifically designated as that office and as a matter of custom has been
filled by a war veteran.
