County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Cummins and O'Neil, Mr. Berryman being absent: Motion by Mr, Cummins, seconded by Mr. Ot eil, that the offer in the amount of $1000.00 shade on January 15, 1940, by Attorney Adolph L. Zeman, representing Steve and Mary Pochiba, in settlement of their claim for damages resulting from the construction of Route 62052, in Somerset Township, be accepted and the Solicitor authorized to prepare the necessary agreement. Motion oarried. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the Agreement between Washington County and the Manufacturers' Light & Heat Company, of Pittsburgh, Pa., be executed in connection with the construction by the said company of a 2" L.P. Gas Line, for the purpose of carrying gas across an improved concrete road in Jefferson Township, from Burgettstown to Eldersville, for a distance of Pity feet, more or less, as per plan submitted. Motion carried. Cummins and O'Neil, Mr. Berryman being absent; County Controller Smith also present. Lotion carried, and the County Con- troller authorized to return the certified check of the unsueoessful bidder. Minutes No. 22-23-24 were read and approved by the Board on this date. Weiner, was authorized by the Board to withdraw the appeal taken i I to the Superior Court from the order of the Commission imposing a portion of the cost of the construction of the Scenery Hill Bridge upon the County, because of the petition now pending for ; modification of the order to relieve the County of such cost* i j The matter of signing the vouchers covering the payroll for February 1st, was brougit before ; the Board and Mr. O'Neil wished to be recorded asobjecting to approving such payrolls because fof certain appointments made and refused, and certain salaries fixed, but in view of the in- justice to some and the inconvenience to the County that would result from his failure to f Iapprove, such payrolls during Mr. Berryman's absence, he would approve, the vouchers only as a 1 1 1 1
