O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS 12 39 WARD No. 149 Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa,, January 6, 1941, Board of County Commissioners in regular session with the following members presents John D, Berryman, Ross R. Cummins and John N. O'Neil. The organization of the Board of County Cormmissioners effected on the first Monday of January, 19401, continued in accordance with the provisions of the Act of Assembly of 1929 (County Code), i to -grits John Do Berryman, Chairman of the Board, and Ross R. Cummins, Secretary, First in the order of business was the confirmation of the appointment of T. C. Hickson, Chief Clerk to the County Commissioners, David H. Weiner, County Solicitor, and David R, Davidson, Sealer of Weights & Measures, for the year 1941, each of the foregoing appointments having been made the first Monday in January, 1940, for a four-year period. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that We Do Brightwell, Record Clerk, be elimi- nated from the County Commissioners' payroll inasmuch as he is employed by the Prothonotary, Regi of 'gills, County Treasurer and Clerk of Courts and is not engaged in performing any duties for the County Commissioners. Motion carried* Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that all the employees in the County Connie - sinners' Office be reappointed to their respective positions for the year 1941, with proviso that each may be dismissed upon 30 days' notice, with the exception of John M* Connorst who is not to be reappointed but given 30 days' notice as of this date, the list of said employees being as follows: Mary W. Lemon, Assistant to Chief Clerk W, W, Croner, Bookkeeper Robert Crawford, Personal Property Clerk Madlyn V. Bebout, Clerk Anthony Note, Clerk John L. Simms, Clerk Bernard R. Zeszutek, Clerk McLrjorie W. Mawhinney, Clerk Irene Merlin, Clerk John D. Woodward, Voucher Clerk Question was called for by the Chairman: Voting "Yes", Mewsrs, Berryman and Cummins, voting "No", Mr. O'Neil, insofar as the motion concerns the dismissal of John M. Connors. This being a majority, the motion was declared carried. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the following Court House employees under the jurisdiction of the County Commissioners be reappointed to their respective positions j for the year 1941, with proviso that each may be dismissed upon 30 days' notice: Chris Altvater, Building Superintendent, Court House Russell Adams, Chief Engineer, Heating Plant Arthur Grimes, Ass't Engineer, . Martin Nugent, Ass't Engineer Joseph Batove, Ass't Engineer W, E, Zediker, Night Superintendent, Court House Hazel Hughes, Telephone Operator Bugene.Spells, Janitor James Mosley, Janitor Joseph Bannister, Elevator Operator Rixth Bebout, Cleaner Catherine Naser, Cleaner Laura Shields, Cleaner Belle Moulden, Cleaner Emma Wise, Cleaner Nellie Manning, Cleaner Lulu Henry, Cleaner Lottie Maurer, Cleaner Vivian H. O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS 1 1 1 Motion carried, with Mr. O'Neil not voting. }Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the following employees in the Regis- tration Office be reappointed for the year 19411, with proviso that each may be dismissed upon 30 days' notice: John A. Wright, Chief Clerk, Gino Amanati, Assistant to Chief Clerk Marian Popovich, Clerk Angela B. Marchione, Clerk Steve Shook, Clerk Lotion carried, with Mr. O'Neil not voting; notation of the foregoing appointments in the Registration Office to be made on the minutes of record in that office. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the following employees in the Road and Bridge Department be reappointed for the year 1941, with proviso that each maybe dismissed upon thirty days' notices G. Le Allmam, Superintendent Maintenance, Roads & Bridges Corrine Haught, Stenographer Sheridan Sutherland, Foreman, County Garage John Tt Fetoko, Chauffeur Notion carried, with IMr. O'Neil not voting. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that Joseph Warne,be reappointed as Veterans' Graves Registrar for the year 1941, with proviso that he may be dismissed upon 30 days' notice. Notion carried, with Mr. O'Neil not votingq, Motion duly made and seconded that the meeting adjourn until 3 o'clock, to sit as the Wash- ington County Institution District. Motion carried. On the 7th day of January, 1941, the Board of County Commissioners of the County of'W'ash- ington, Pennsylvania, met in regular session in the Office of the County Commissioners at the Court House in the City of Washington, Pennsylvania. The meeting was called to order at 2 P#M, by Chairman Berryman, and on the roll call those present and absent were as followas Presents John D. Berryman, Ross R. Cummins and John No O'Neil; absent, none. The following named persons, residents of the County of Washington, be and the same hereby are appointed as Members of the Washington County Housing Authority to serve from January 7, 1941, for the number of years set opposite their names; Joseph F.
