Washington, Pa., February 24, 1941.
Board of County Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs* Ferryman.and
Cummins, Mr. O'Neil being absent from the County.
The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington,
State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a note for Fifty Thousand
(450,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by said
Board, towwit:
WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Fifty Thousand
($50,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1941, and to be
payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and are to be levied
and collected by the County during the year 1941, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washington, that
for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper
officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temporary loan on
such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are to be levied and colleo-
ted during the year 1941, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to prepay said loan, with
interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefor payable
Augutt 5, 1941, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one and one-half (125 per
cent* per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes
the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as
follows:

There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berryman,and Cummins,
Mr. O'Neil being absent from the County.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for
bids for furnishing and delivering to the Office of the County Treasurer the following quantities
of tax statements for the year 1941:
90,000 Occupation Statements, in triplicate
500000 Real Estate Statements, in triplicate
6;§00 Personal Property Statements,in triplicate
23,000 Blank Statements, single copy
1,000 Blank Receipts, single copy
Specifications for the above to be seen at the Office of the County Treasurer, bids on same
to be received by the County Controller until 11 AeM., Monday, March 10, 1941, and opened immed-
iately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners; certified check in the amount of
$100.00 must accompany each bid and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids, Motion
carried. There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.
