Motion by Mr, O'Neil, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the contract for the necessary tax statements for use of the County Treasurer for the year 1941 be awarded.to the General Mainfold & Printing Company, Franklin, Pa., at their total bid of $443,70, delivery to be made not later than four weeks from date of approval of grb®f submitted by the said company to the County Treasurer. Motion carried. The County Commissioners approved ]minutes Noe 175-176-177 and Salary Board Minute No. 46, as read. There being no further business before the joint meeting, it was adjourned. Subsqquent to.the Salary Board meeting held on March 13, 1941, to fix the salaries of W.D. Brightwell and Hugh O'Donnell, Oustodians of .Records for the Clerk of Courts, Prothonotary, Register of Wills and Treasurer, F. Leo Wright, Clerk of Courts, representing the said four offices, appeared before the County Commissioners and recommended an increase in the estimated budgets of the said offices for clerk hire for the year 1941, in the amount of $212e50 each, to cover the salaries of the said Custodians of Records who are to be paid at the rate of $85*00 each per month, effective March 1, 1941, for the time so employed; said appointees to alternate in the performance of their duties in a manner prescribed by the officials by whom so employed, the salaries of such appointees to be charged in equal proportions to each of the said offices. 138 MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA JOHN D. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil. The following Resolution of the Board of County Cormmi.ssioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a note for Fifty Thousp 4 ($50,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by said Board, to -wits WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Fifty Thousand 50,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1941, and to be payable out of, taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and are to be levied and collected by the j County during the year 1941, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the proper officials of the said County are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temporary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are to be levied and oollected during the year 1941, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan, with in- terest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefor, payable August 5, 1941, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one and one-half (1$) per cent, per annum, free of all taxes levied by, the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said tames the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows; THE WASHINGTON UNION TRUST COMPANY, Washington, Pa., $50,000.QO There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
