O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS ! hard of the City of Washington were inadvertently omitted from the statement rendered because such j i property was carried on the assessment records in the name of Edith Cassidy, therefore, approval is hereby given to a refund in the amount of $91,87 in favor of the said Alice M. Spriggs, such I amount representing the accrued penalty and interest paid because of the omission of the said 1929 delinquent taxes from the statement rendered. Myers, minors, in aocordance with Deed of Release and Quitclaim execu ad by C. W. Myers, their father and natural guardian, in connection with damages to property owned by them in Somerset Township in the reconstruction and improvement of State Highway Route No. j 62052, Section 2, in said township; such additional payment being, made because of additional damages incurred during construction of the said route, which damage was not apparent at the time the original settlement was made. County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berryman, Cummins and Ot Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolution be adopted: BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of County Commissioners that beginning January 1, 1941, in connec- tion with the traveling expenses claimed by the Coroner, rising out of the discharge of his duties, he be allowed mileage at the rate of 61 per mile curcular, provided that the said mileage in any one month does not exceed $75.00, in which event the mileage rate allowed is to be reduced J 11 143 � MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA JOHN D. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil. After discussion of the matter of the erection of a partition in the Janitors' Room in the basement of the Court House, approval was given to the erection of such partition in accordance with the proposal of W. E. Knestrick to furnish all material and labor for same, with door and two sections of shelves included, for the sum of $60.00. In accordance with the request of the Peoples Natural Gas Company, Pittsburgh, Pa., approval was given to the removal of said company's pipe line markers from their main transmission system which are located at all public highways within the area covered by the operations of said com- pany; such approval being given as a matter of cooperation with the Peoples Natural Gas Company in taking precautionary measures to prevent possible sabotage, and with the understanding that county maps will be properly marked as to location of such pipe line markers and one copy of such map returned to the Washington County Road and Bridge Department for their files= also that Natural when the present emergency caused by the existing war situation is passed, the Peoples/ Gas Com- pany will replace all markers removed by agreement because of the existing emergency; the Peoples Natural Gas Company to be notified in writing of this action of the Board. Minutes No. 185 and 186 were read and approved by the Board. There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.
