Motion duly made and seconded that the property assessed as Lots 35 and 36, Block 19, in the
Borough of North Charleroi, in the name of Joseph Fashing through the year 19381, be removed from

the 1940 Treasurer's Tax Sales inasmuch as the said lots became the property of Washington County
at the 1918 Treasurer's Tax Sale; and that delinquent taxes for the years 1935-36-37-38 be exonov.
ated because of the existing erroneous assessment in the name of Joseph Fashing; the assessment
j records in the Commissioners' Office and the lien dockets in the Prothonotary's Office and Treasur-
er's Office to be corrected accordingly. Motion carried and the County Treasurer to receive anc
excerpt of this a6tion of the Board of County Commissioners.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berryman, Cummins
and O'Neil.
Notion duly made and seconded that the following resolutions be adopted by the Board, to -wits
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County that the plans submitted by
the Department of Highways for the proposed reconstruction of State Highway Route 62123, from
Station 153#00 to Station 158#30, in West Finley Township, Washington County, Pennsylvania, have
been examined and the County Commissioners agree that the County will not assume liability for any
property damages resulting from the construction of the highway as contemplated by these plans, or
any damages arising out of any changes or alteration of drainage resulting from the construction
or maintenance of the highway.
BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County that the plans submitted by
the Department of Highways for the proposed reconstruction of State Highway Route 62140, from
Station $$e50' to Station 63e17,.09, in the Borough of Marianna, Washington County, Pennsylvania,.
and Township Road Noe 62331, from Station 63#17*09 to Station 68#17,67, in West Bethlehem Township,
Washington County, Pennsylvania, have been examined and the County Commissioners agree that the

Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to accept 1925 delinquent
county tax against Costis De Scoumis of the lst Ward of the Borough of Canonsburg, at Noe 168
February Tom, 1929, without interest inasmuch as the payment of this tax was inadvertently omitted
in the payment of all other taxes by the said Costis D. Seomis. Motion carried.

Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel the sale
held on -July 8, 1918, of property in the name of Larry Morris in West Bethlehem Tomnship, des-
cribed as Lot 100, Donors, Improvement Company Lan, such sale being void because such assessment
carried in the name of the said Larry Morris was a duplication, said Lot 100 being properly
assessed in the name of Frank Botisek by whom all taxes have been paid. Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the application of Moyd 0. Hart,
Attorney, representing the Young Men's Christian Association of Washington, Pao, for exemption
from taxation on property purchased by the Y.M.C.A/ in Blaine 'Township for use as a camp site,
such acreage being described as 67 acres of surface, adjacent to Albert Sickles and 40 acres of
surface, a part of a 216 acre tract of surface formerly owned by Altert T. Sickles, adSotent
William Meloy, such approval being given by the County Commissioners under the provisions of the
Act of Assembly in such case made and provided. Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorised to exonerate the 1930
delinquent taxes, penalty, interest and costs, against property assessed in the name of Mary
Sangate, of the 8th Ward of the City of Washington, described on the assessment record as "House
and Lot, 401 Fayette Street", such tax having been erroneously included in the 1940 Treasurer's
Tax Sale because of a duplicate assessment, whereas, same had previously been paid by.Samuel
Finkel, et al, to whom it was assessed. Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to co-operate with
the Borough Council and School District of Donor& in accepting all linned and delinquent county
tax without penalty and interest now accrued against the property of George Shuma, described as
Lot 22 in Bloat 1 of the Union Improvement Company's Plan, with proviso that all delinquent taxes
be paid in full, together with costs, as well as the 1940 taxes now past due. Motion carried,
the County Controller appeared before the Board to advise that Mary Allen Evans had been
granted an indefinite leave of absence from her duties as bookkeeper in the County Controller's
Offioe, effective May 1, 1941; such leave or absence to be without salary for -the duration of :a
same.
Minute Noe 191 was read and approved by the Board.
