Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berryman,
Cummins and O'Neil; Deputy Controller Dentel also present.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the contract for the furnishing and
delivery of pre -mixed Bituminous Surface Course material to the Pike Run Road in West Pike Rub
Road in West Pike Run Township, be awarded to the Burrell Construction & Supply Co. New Kensiggo
ton, Pa., at their bid of $5.20 per ton for slag aggregate, opened and read by the Board on
Friday, June 20, 1941, and that the County Controller be-authori$edtto return the certified
checks of the unsuccessful bidders. Motion carried, with Deputy Controller Dentel present
when this action was taken in awarding the aforementioned contract.
Motion duly made and seconded that payment in the amount of $1000 be approved in favor of
Norman and Nellie Prosser in accordance with the agreement for the payment of damages on State
Highway Route 181-Rl in Carroll Township, filed and advertised at No. 163 August Term, 1941, to
which no exceptions have been filed.
Minutes No. 210-211-212 were read and approved by the Board.
There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berryman and
Cummins, Mr. O'Neil being absent from the County.
Upon presentment of petition in proper form to the County Board of Elections, and notice of
the proposed change of the Polling Place in the Borough of Cokeburg having been posted in ac-
cordance with the provisions of the Acts of Assembly, approval was given to the said change in
the Polling Place in Cokeburg Borough from a room on the first floor of the building adjoining
the office of the Superintendent of Mines to the Community Room in the Cokeburg Public School
Building.
Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the payment of the sum of $1000.00
in favor of A. L. Zeman, .Attorney for William D. Smith, in accordance with the agreement for the
paymept'-.of damages on State Highway Route No. 62026 in Peters Township, filed and advertised at
No. 188 August Term, 1941, to which no exceptions have been filed. Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the payment of the sum of 41100.00
in favor of J. Salem Flack, attorney for Meredith N. and Ruby Merril Ackley,,in accordance with
the agreement for the payment of damages on Route 113, Section 9 A. in South Strabane Township,

filed and advertised at No. 193 August Term, 1941, to which no exceptions have been filed. Motion
carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the following resolutions be adopted by the Board, to -wit:
(1) BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County that the plans submitted
by the Department of Highways for the changing of State Highway Route 62094, in South Strabane and
Chartiers.Townships, between Stations 0#00 and 102.64.85, have been examined and the County Commis-
sioners agree that the County will not assume liability for any property damages resulting from the
construction of the highway as contemplated by these plans, or any damages arising out of any chang
or alteration of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of the highway.
(2) BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County that the plans submitted
by the Department of Highways for the changing of State Highway Route 62157, in Fallow€feld Township
between Stations 0+00 and 9♦30, have been examined and the County Commissioners agree that the Count,
will not assume liability for say property damages resulting from the construction of the highway as
contemplated by these plans, or any damages arising out of any changes or alteration of drainage re-
sulting from the construction or maintenance of the highway.
(3) BE IT RESOLVED by the County Commissioners of Washington County that the plans submitted by
the Department of Highways for the changing of State highway Route 109, Bridge No. 5, from Station
293#25.00 to Station 3094,75.00, and Route 62082 from Station 1t44.00 to Station 4i71.00, both in
Morris Township, Washington County, have been examined and the County Commissioners agree that the
County will not assume liability for any property damages resulting from the construction of the
highways as conetmplated by these plans, or any doges arising out of any changes or alteration
of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of the highways.
Motion carried, and the three foregoing resolutions declared adopted.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorised to exonerate the delin-
quent taxes for the years 1935 through 1939 against lots 497-498 Gordon Plan, Canton Township,
assessed in the name of Mary Sisel of said township; such delinquent taxes having been paid by Bessi4
D. Scott, the rightful owner of the said lots but who was erroneously assessed with other real
estate, rather than the lots to which she held title. Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel the Treasurer's
Tax Sale of April 24, 1940, in the name of John; Kizor (Kiezos) Estate in Carroll Township, against
property described as "Vacant Lot #133, Crestview, Adjacent Donora", for delinquent taxes for the
years 1931 through 1934; such sale being void in view of the fact that the said assessment is a dup-
lication of the assessment of Margaret Urillo in said township, who holds receipts for the payment
of taxes on the uaid lot. Motion carried. Minute No. 213 was read and approved by the Board.
There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
