COMMISSIONERS NO, 232 Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., September 5, 19410, i Board of County Commissioners Lu joint session with the County'Controller for the `purpose of opening bids,for the furnishing and delivery of one 1940 Galion, 10 Ton, 3 Wheel, Diesel Roller for ( use of the County Road and Bridge Department as per advertisement of the County Controller; present for County Commissioners, Messrs. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil; Deputy Controller Oentel present. In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bid was opened and read in the presence of the County Commissioners: I H. We-FINDLEY, No. 4 Glass Street, Carnegie, Pa, 1 - Used Galion "Chief" 10-ton 3-wheel Diesel Roller - equipped with hydraulic pressure scarifier, including cab, with sprinkling at- tachment, fifty gallon capacity, 20" rolls, hand steer with j driving rolls drilled for spikes - Model R-21990-A Our f389 - all for the sum of .............................................. 992.20 The above price is quoted F.O.B. Washington, Pa,, and is•for immediate delivery. Motion duly made and seconded that the foregoing bid be rejected inasmuch as certified check I in the swunt of 4200900 was not included with the bid as specified in the advertisement of the I i County Controller, Motion carried, with Deputy Controller present at the time of this action of the Board• Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to re -advertise for the Diesel Roller, specifications to be the same as those covered by the former advertisement, with the bids to be,received by the County Controller -until 11 A.M., E.S,T., on Monday, September i 22, 1941, each of which must be accompanied by a certified check in the amount of two hundred i dollars ($200,00) and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids, or to make such an award I as will be to the best interests of Washington County. Motion carried. Minutes No, 230-261 were read and approved by the Board, There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
