Motion duly made and seconded that an appropriation in the amount of 8100.00 be made to g.

Company, 3rd Regiment, P.R.D.C., in accordance with their written request dated November 24,

1941, for an emergency allowance. Motion carried.
Minutes No. 242 and 246 were read and approved by the Board.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, members present being
Messrs. Berryman, Cummins and OtNeil.
The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington,
State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said County of a note for One Hundred
Thousand (4100#000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by
said Board, to -wits
WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred Thousand
($100,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1941, and to be
payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and are to be levied
and collected by the County during the year 1942, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washington,
that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the County, the
proper officials of the said County are hereby authorised and directed to negotiate a temporary
loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are to be levied
and collected during the year 1942, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said
loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note
therefor, payable August 5, 1942, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one and
one-half (1t) per cent. per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of PennsylvanilL
which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiat-
ed and issued as follows:
MM WASHINGTON UNION TRUST COMPANY, Washington, Pa. $1002000.00
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned*
