Board of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present being Messrs. Berryman; Cummins and Of Neil• Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the execution of the Deed of Release and Quitclaim under date of November 28, 1941, by A. T. Craven, owner of a property situate in Carroll Township, Washington County, on State Highway Route 62050, such Deed of Release and Quit- claim to cover the payment of the sum of 4500.00 to the said A. T. Craven for damages to his property in connection with the reconstruction and improvement of the said State Highway Route No. 62050. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the adoption of the following Resolu- tion under date of December 8, 1941: i BE IT RESOLVED, By the County Commissioners of Washington County that the plans submitted by the Department of Highways for the changing of State Highway Route 62095, in East Pike Run Town- ship, between Station 77#41.00 and 92a00.00, have been examined and the County Commissioners agree that the County will not assume liability for any property damages resulting from the construction I f of the highway as contemplated by these plans, or any damages arising out of any changes or altera- tion of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of the highways. Motion carried, Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel Treasurer's I Tax Sale No. 4186, held April Z7, 1940, in the name of J. S. Iams, covering property described as lots f5 and 6, J. H. Redd Plan, in Twilight Borough, such sale being in error in view of the fact that the said lots are oi�ned and properly assessed to Elias Johnson, who holds tax receipts for the aforementioned years, the said assessment having been carried in duplicate in the name of the i i said J. S. Iams, and the proper clerk is hereby authorized and directed to correct the assessment records, as well as the lien dockets in the County Treasurer's Office, so as to eliminate the said duplicate assessment. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the payment of the sum of 4325000 in i I favor of Jessie L. Metz and Arthur C. Metz, her husband,in accordance with the agreement for the i payment of damages on State Highway Route No. 62052, Section 2, in Somerset Township, filed and j advertised at No. 55 February Term, 1942, to which no exceptions have been filed. Motion c arriedi i Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the execution of the Deed of Release jand Quitclaim between Washington County and Walter J. Ramuth in connection with damages to the E f property of the said Walter J. Ramuth situate in Somerset Township, this county, such damage being incidental to the construction and improvement of State Highway Route No. 62052 in said township, yf and such Deed of Release and Quitclaim to release the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania and the County of Washington from any further damage claims, for and in consideration of the sum of ;200.00. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neile The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington ! State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said county of a note for Fifty Thousand (�50,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by said i - Board, to -wit: 11HEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Fifty Thousand (,D50,000e00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1941, and to be payable 4ut_of taxes and other eurrent revenues whijah have bee assessed and -are to be levie d and collected by the county during the year 1942, now, therefore, BE IT RE60LVED, By the board of County Commissioners of the said county of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current exepsnes of the county, the proper officials of the said county are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a tempo- rary loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are to be levied and collected during the year 1942, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefor, payable August 5,,1942, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one and one-half (1-k) per cente per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows: THE WASHINGTON UNION TRUST COITANY, Iashington, Pa.
