O'NEIL. COMMISSIONERS NO. IM Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., January 23, 1941. Board of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present being Messrs.; Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil. Motion duly made and seconded that payment in the amount of $1500.00 be approved in favor of A, L, Zeman, Attorney for Ralph Dykstra and Clara Dykstra, in accordance with the agreement for the payment of damages in North Strabane Township, Route 62052, filed at No. 210 February Term, 1941, 1 to which no exceptions have been filed. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that payment in the amount of 183.93 be approved in favor of the Greensboro Gas Company in connection with the relocation of their facilities in the of L. R. 62052 in Somerset Township. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to exonerate the delinquent county taxes accrued since 1928 in connection with a duplicate assessment in East Bethlehem Township against the property now owned by The Brownsville General Hospital by deed dated March 30, 1939, I recorded in Heed Book 628, at Page 149, and erroneously assessed in 1928 and through 1941 to George C, McClelland, said property being described in the erroneous assessment as "Stare, Flat &A A. Surface, Ten Mile Crossing" and assessed at $1000 from 1928 through 1933, and at 800 from 1934 l through 1941; the assessment records in the County Commissioners' Office to be corrected accordingly and the County Treasurer to receive an excerpt of this minute covering this action of the Board. Motion carried. There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the County Controller be authorized to ad- *ertise for approximately one hundred six (106) tons of plain structural steel, to conform to l Pennsylvania Department of Highways specifications for similar materials, such steel to be used in 'the construction of eight bridges in various parts of the county; certified check in the amount of 14200.00 must accompany each proposal which will be received until 10:00 A.M., Friday, February % 1941, by the County Controller and opened immediately thereafter in the County Commissioners' Office. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the County Road and Bridge Department be i 1 1 authorized to prepare plans and requisition materials for the construction of a timber truss bridge to be erected on Buffalo Creek, Blaine Township, Washington County, at the location of the former MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF' COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA JOHN D. BERRYMAN, ROSS R. CUMMINS, JOHN N. O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS 1 LJ 1 1 Mahan 'flood Covered Bridge. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. 0*Neil, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids for fleet insurance for public liability, property damage, fire and theft coverage on truck and automobile equipment owned and operated by Washington County; certified check in the amount of $50.00 must accompany each bid which will be received by the County Con- troller until Friday, February 7, 1941, at 10 A.M., and opened immediately thereafter in the County Commissioners' Office; a list of present equipment will be furnished upon request at the Office of the County Road and Bridge Department. Motion carried, Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the Chairman be authorized to approve the contract between Washington County and the Knestrick Electric Company, Washington, Pa., covering the purchase of large incandescent lamps for the year 1941, Motion carried. Board of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present being Messrs. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil. Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolution be adopteds BE IT RESOLVED, By the County Commissioners of Washington County, that the plans submitted by the Department of Highways for the changing„of State Highway Route 62041, in Mt. Pleasant Township, between Stations 283+50 and 288+00, have been examined and the County Commissioners agree that the County will not assume liability for any property damages resulting from the con. struction of the highway as contemplated by these plans, or any damages arising out of any changes or alteration of drainage resulting from the construction or maintenance of the highway, Motion carried. The Board confirmed the reading and approval of Minute No. 159 on January 2% 1941, There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
