Q'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS XOe 229 Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., August 25, 1941. Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berryman, Cummins; and O'Neil. I Motion duly made and seconded that refund in the amount of $32.10 be made in favor of Walter i I Kammarek, 446 Eighth St., Donora, Pa., covering the sum paid to the Washington County Commissioners on the purchase price of real estate described as Lots #68-69, Crest View Plan, Carroll Tovaship, and sold at Public Sale on July 12, 19419 by the said County Commissioners as the property of Wash- ington County to the said Walter Kaozmarek, such sale being void in vier of the fact that said lots j were sold by the County Commissioners as property formerly o'ened by D. L. Allen, acquired by Wash- I ington County at Treasurer's Tax Sale for delinquent taxes for the years 1917-18-19, because of a t duplicate assessment carried on the records for those years in error in the name of D. L. Allen ro&o never held title to the said real estate, such lots being part of a plan of 132 lots.ovaned by J. J. Norton, Donors., Pa. Motion carried and the Treasurer's Records and County Commissioners' assessment records to be properly corrected. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that Charles Greer, Washington, Pa., be ap- pointed as Assistant Engineer at the heating plant for the Court House and Jail to fill the vacancy i i caused by the resignation of Joseph Batove, such appointment to be effective September 1, 1941. ! Motion carried. There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned. Berryman and Cummins, Mr. OtNeil being absent from the county. i Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel the Treasurer'+ Tax Sale of June 14, 1922, in the name of Frank Lacastro for delinquent taxes for the years 1920-21 against property described as Lot 44, Donora Improvement Company Plan, in West Bethlehem Toenships such sale being void in vier of the fact that the said Frank ,Lacastro never held title to this particular lot, such lot being the property of Tony Despot at the time of the said Treasurer's Tax l Sale but incorrectly assessed to him as Lot 44 in the Barnard Place Plan instead of Lot 44 in the I i Donora Improvement Company Plan to which he held title by deed and assumed the tax responsibility i for the said years of 1920-21. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the application for exemption from taxation of property in the Borough of North Charleroi described as House & Lot #42, Bl. F. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil. Upon petition duly presented to the Board, Mrs. Lillian Smock was appointed as Assessor in West Brownsville Borough to fill the unexpired term of William 2killcorn, recently resigned. Lotion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the execution of an Agreement be. tween Washington County and John Pollack, Daisytown, in East Pike Rum Township, as follows: "WITNESSETH, that the said John Pollack, party of the first part, is the owner of Lot No. 6 in the Max Avner Plan of Lots, recorded in Plan Book No. 6, page 2511 fronting on the County Road known as the Pike Run Road, in East Pike Rua Township, Washington County, through and over which lot the storm water leading from cross drain at Station on the said County road is carried to the creek. Nag, THEREFORE, in consideration of the payment of One (1,00) Dollar and the removal of said drain from its present location to a location along and parallel with the eastern line of said lot and Lot No, 5 in said plan, the said party of the first part, for himself, his heirs and assigns, does hereby give and grant unto the said parties of the second part the right and privilege to construct and maintain the said now drain without wW liability whatsoever for azw property taken, injured or destroyed as the result of said construction and/or maintenance."
