COMMISSIONERS ;' r Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. 'Berryman, that the awarding of the contract for the foregoing insurance be deferred until the bids have been tabulated. Motion carried. I 7here being no further business before the joint meeting, it was adjourned. THE FOREGOING MINUTES READ AND APPROVED: January 26, 1942 ATTESTS NO. 259 Office of the County Commissioners: Washington, Pa., January 23, 1942. Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil* Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids for Fleet Insurance for public liability, property damage, fire and theft, and collision coverage on truck and automobile equipment and road building machinery owned and opera- ted by Washington County; such bids to be received by the County Controller until 11 A.M., Friday, February 6, 19429 and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commis- sioners; lists of presaent equipment will be furnished upon application at the Office of the County Commissioners; certified check in the amount of $100.00 must accompany each bid and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorised to cancel that por- tion of County Treasurer's Tax Sale No. 2087, covering Lot No. 1390 in the name of Harry Marshall Carroll Toenship, for delinquent taxes for the years 1932 through 1941, such portion of the said sale being in error in view of the fact that the said lot was erroneously assessed in the name of the said Harry Marshall for the said years, and also was assessed correctly in the name of the rightful owner, Thomas A. Conti, who holds title by deed, as well as tax receipts for the afore- mentioned years, the proper clerk being hereby directed to correct the lien dockets in the Pro- thonotarytp Office and the 'tax Return Dockets in the County Treasurer's Office to eliminate the said duplication. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorised to advertise for bids for five 4-door standard deluxe Dodge sedans and one standard deluxe Dodge coupe, two sedans to be for the use of the District Attorney&s Office, two sedans for use of the Sheriff's Office, sand one sedan and one coupe for use of the County Commissioners; with allowance for trade-in of one 1941 Chevrolet 4-door sedan,, one 1940 Ford Coupe, one 1940 4-door Nash Sedan and two 1940 4-door Oldsmobiles, any of which may be seen at the County Garage; such bids to be received by the County Controller until lltOO A.Me, Monday, February 2, 1942, and opened in the Office of the County Commissioners immediately thereafter; each bid must be accompanied bya certified check in the amount of 250*00 and the right is reservW to reject any or all bids* Motion carried. Minutes Noe 256 and 257 were read and approved by the Board. There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
