Board of County Commissioners in joint session with the County Controller for the purpose of opening bids as per advertisement of the County Controller for Fleet Insurance for public liability property damage, fire and theft and collision coverage on truck and automobile equipment and roa&I building machinery owned and operated by Washington County, those present being Messrs. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil, and County Controller Stuart. i In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bids were opened and read in the presence of the County Commissioners: . O'NE11.., COMMISSIONERS 1 J Motion by Mr. O'Neil, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the awarding of the foregoing contract 'be deferred until the bids have been tabulated. Motion carried. Also in accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller, the following bids were ;opened and read for the furnishing and delivery of approximately forty two thousand (42,000) board feet of treated Yellow Pine Lumber, 8-4-3, for use on various county bridges: COIMOUS WOOD PRESERVING CO., 8 E. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil, Motion by Mr. Cummins;- seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the contract for five four -door standard deluxe Dodge sedans and one standard deluxe Dodge coupe be awarded to Guy Woodward, Washington, Pa., in accordance with his bid submitted under date of February 2t 1942, in the amount of $6910*00 1 iless.=gllowance fot trade-in in the amount of $2700.00, making the net bid $4210.00. Motion carr3 sit with County Controller 'Stuart present when this award was made. Minutes No. 261-262-263-264 were read and approved by the Board.
