Board of County Commissioners in joint session withs.the County Controller for the purpose of awarding contracts in accordance with the advertisements of the County Controller for the furnishing and delivery of approximately forty-two thousand board feet of treated Yellow Pine Lumber for use on various county bridges, and for Fleet Insurance for public liability, property damage, fire, theft i and collision coverage on truck and automobile equipment and road -building machinery owned and oper- ated by Washington County; present for the County Commissioners, Messrs. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil; County Controller Stuart present. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the contract for approximately 42,000 board feet of treated Yellow Pine Lumber for use on various county bridges be awarded to the i Columbus Wood Preserving Co., Columbus, Ohio, in accordance with their bid submitted February 6, i 1942, in the amount of 2998.26, and that the County Controller be authorized to return the checks of the unsuccessful bidders. Motion carried, with County Controller Stuart present when this action! was taken by the Board. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the contract for the Fleet Insurance for public liability, property damage, fire, theft and collision coverage on truck and automobile equip-' rent and road -building machinery ovned and operated by Washington County, be awarded to J. R. Culley� Burgettstown, Pa., in accordance with his bid submitted on February 6, 1942, in the amount of 529.42 this beingthe low bid in compliance with the p specifications as advertised by the County i Controller, and that the County Controller be authorized to return the checks of the unsuccessful j bidders*, Motion carried, with County Controller Stuart present at the time this action was taken, by the Board. There being no further business before the joint meeting, it was adjourned.
