BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA
JOHN D. BERRYMAN, ROSS R. CUMMINS, JOHN N. O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorised to advertise for bids
for furnishing and delivering to the Office of the County Treasurer the following quantities of
tax statements for the year 1942:
90,000 Occupation Statements in triplicate
47,000 Real Estate Statements in triplicate
6,000 Personal Property Statements in triplicate
1,500 Blank Statements, single copy
11,500 Blank Recbipts, single copy
Specifications for the foregoing to be seen at the Office of the County Treasurer and bids
on same to be received by the County Controller until 11100 A.M., Eo .T., Monday, March 9, 1942,

and opened immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners; certified check in
i the amount of $100,00 must accompany each bid and the right is reserved to reject any or all
i bids. Motion carried,

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O"Neil, that the contract for the Controller's Report
for the year 1941 be awarded to the Monongahela Publishing Company at their quotation submitted
i
under date of February 9, 1942, in the amount of 249.00 for 2500 copies. Motion carried.
Minute No. 269 was read and approved by the Board.
There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in joint session with the County Controller for the purpose
of opening bids for bridge construction in accordance with the advertisement of the County
Controller, those present being County Commissioners Berryman, Cuasnins and OtNeil, and County
Controller Stuart.
In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bids were opened and
read in the presenee of the County Commissionerss

The bid of Fred Saxon, Frederiektown, Pa., having been received after the closing hour specified
'in the advertisement of the County Controller could not be considered in the awarding of the contract,
;therefore, the County Controller was authorized to return the certified check accompanying Mr. Saxon's
bid.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the awarding of the contract for the foregoi#g
;bridge construction be deferred until the bids have been tabulated. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the joint meeting, it was adjourned.
