In oonneotion with the right to grant vacations to those employees ordinarily entitled to these because of such employees entering military service prior to the customary time for vacations, the following Resolution was presented, duly seconded and.adopted, to-wi.t:. WHEREAS, many employees of the County of Washington will be entering military service prior tot he period ordinarily fixed for such vacations to which they may be entitled and accept in lieu thereof the pay for such vacation period, and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the Board of Commissioners to cooperate with the said employees entering military service to the and that they may receive the vacation to which they ordinarily would be entitled, NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED ilt feobi M after the date of this resolution, every employee of the County who may be entitled to a vacation and who enters military service prior to the usual date for said vacation, may upon application, have the date of his vacation period advanced, or at his or her discretion, perform his or her duties to the date of induction into service and accept in lieu of such vacation, the usual pay for theLsaid vacation period* Motion duly made and seconded that the quarry agreement between Washington County and Newell Frazee, Amwell Township, be approved whereby the sum of 75.00 shall represent full payment by Washington County to the said Newell Frazee, for all stone quarried from January 2, 1942, to January 2, 1943s, by Washington County on a certain tract of land owned by the said Newell Frazee on the Lone-Fine-Glyde Road in the said Township. Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present Boeing Messrs, Berryman, Cummins •6 and O'Neil. Motion duly made and seconded that special warranty deeds be executed and delivered to James D. and E. Blanche Wilson, Joseph C. Mazzie and the Ross Independent Oil Company for the lot of ground in the 7th Ward of the City of Washington, situate at 815 Jefferson Avenue, 817 Jefferson Avenue and 15 Oakland Avenue, sold to Washington County by the County Treasurer for non-payment of taxes on January 24, 1940, and which was redeemed by the parties aforesaid under the Act of July 28, 1941, i I P.Le 535, and that John D, Berryman be authorized and empowered to execute and acknowledge the same as and for the Board of County Commissioners; also that a special warranty deed be executed and de- i livered to Joseph E, and Mary 6. Short for Lots No. 266 and -No. 267, Eldora Flan il, Carroll Township, I Washington County, Pennsylvania+, sold to Washington County by the County Treasurer for non-payment f of taxes on January 26, 1940, and which was purchased by the aforesaid parties at Public Sale March i 20, 1942, under the provisions of the Act of Assembly governing such matters, and that John D. Berry- man be authorized and empowered to execute and acknowledge the same as and for the Board of County Commissioners. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the resolution adopted by this Board on January 30, 1940, with respect to property damages on State Highway Route -#62157 in Fallowfield Township be and the same is hereby rescinded. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the following resolution be adopted in connection with ! property damages on State Highway Route No. 62157 in Fallowfield Township, to -wit: BE IT RESOLVED, By the County Commissioners of Washington County, that the plans submitted by , the Department of Highways for the changing of State Highway Route #62157 in Fallowfield Township, between Stations 0s36,57 and 9♦300 have been examined and the County will assume liability for any and all property damages resulting from the construction of the highway as contemplated by these plans, and also all damages arising out of any changes or alteration of drainage resulting from the 3 construction or maintenance of the highway, EXCEPTING AND RESERVING from t he intent of this Resolu- tion any property or holdings of any �Rublie Utility Company; ALSO EXCEPTING AND RMERVING from the j intent of this Resolution any and all damages resulting to any coal or other minerals in and under- I lying the property affected by this improvement.
