Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to a refund in the amount of $660.75
in favor of the Mario Gas Coal Company, representing the penalty and interest on delinquent
county tax for the years 1932 and 1933, on property in North Bethlehem Township, assessed in
the name of the said Company and described as "1019 Acres Coal, 213 Acres Surface, Brick House
and Tipple"; such refund being made in view of the fact that the said Company has been paying
its delinquent taxes under the abatement act, and through an error in certification, the said
1932 and 1933 delinquent county taxes were inadvertently omitted, thereby causing the said
property to be listed for sale at County Treasurer's Tax Sale. In order to prevent the public
sale of the said property, the said Company paid the full amount of the 1932 and 1933 delinw= ,
quent county tax, plus the penalty and interest, but in view of the existing extenuating
circumstances, refund of such penalty and interest in the amount set forth above, is hereby
authorized. Motion carried. Minutes No, 313 and 314 were read and approved by the Board.
There being no.further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.
