O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS N0. 255 Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., January 6, 1942. Board of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present being Messrs. Berrymlan, Cummins and O'Neil. i i Motion duly made and seconded that Joseph F. Antoon, Washington, Pennsylvania, Member of the Washington County Sousing Authority, whose term expires on January 7, 1942, be re -appointed on such i Housing Authority for a five-year terra, or until January 7, 1947, Motion carried, with the Chief Clerk directed to forward certified copies of the minutes of this meeting to the United States Sousing Authority, Washington, D. C., the State Board of Housing, Harrisburg, Pa., and to Re Wo Knox, Chairman of the Washington County Housing Authority. I There being no further business to come before the Board, the meeting was adjourned. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil. Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolution be adopted, covering the action of the Board on January 9, 1942, authorizing the cutting of a door -way into the present record room on i the basement floor of the Court House: TI ERE,AS, the acquisition of hundreds of properties by the County of Washington #br the non- payment of taxes has created a condition requiring the setting up of a real estate department to properly and efficiently supervise these properties and make possible the collection of rents there- from and sales thereof to the end that the greatest proceeds be derived therefrom for the benefit I both of Washington County and other municipalities interested therein; and WMU AS, the crowded condition of the present Court House makes necessary the utilisation of all the available space in the Court House for the care and preservation of the books and records of the various county offices and the business of the county; and � WHEREAS the only s available for the real estate office aforesaid requires the - s Y ace transforma p q tion of a portion of the record room in the north east portion of the ground floor into such an offioo, now, therefore, [I 11 1 MINUTE O • BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA JOHN D. COMMISSIONERS 1 1 1 BE IT RESULVM that a portion of the present record room in the north east portion of the ground floor of the Court House be converted into an office for the real estate department of Washington County and that the necessary repairs and improvements be carried out to accomplish 1 the said purpose, including a doorway into the said office from the present corridor on the said ground floor. Motion carried. Motion duly made,and seconded that approval be given to the payment of $325e00 in favor of George J. Modrak, Attorney for John Fhskar in accordance with the Viewer's award for the payment, of damages on MoEwen Road, Cecil Township, filed at No. 1, May Roads, Q.Se, 1941, to which no exceptions have been filed. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the payment of the sum of $200*00 'Caps favor of George Jo Modre:k, Attorney for Thomas Ross, in accordance with the Viewers' award fbr •tits payment of damages on McEwen.Road, Cooil Township, this county, filed at No. 1, May Roads, Q•S,., 1941, to which no exceptions have been filed. Motion carried. The reading of Minutes No. 252 and No. 253 on January 3, 19429 was confirmed and Minutes No. 264 and 255 were read and approved by the Board. There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned. Berrymanp Cunmdns and OONeil• Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the payment of $1200.00 in favor of Colin Re Laoock in accordance with the agreement for the payment of damages on State Highway Route No. 113 Section. 9-A in South Strabane Township, filed and advertised at Noe 223 February Term, 1942, to which no exceptions have been filed. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that approval b e given to the payment of $lO0QXOin favor of Cecil A. and Florence Carroll in accordance with the agreement for the payment of d es on State Highway Route No. 62p48-62050 in Carroll Township, filed and advertised at No. 224 February Tess 1942, to which no exceptions have been filed.
