Board of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present being
Messrs. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil.
Motion duly made and seconded that *L release of damages be executed between Washington
County and S. L, Kimberland, R. D. -#1, Canonsburg, Pa., the tenant on the property affected
by the improvement of a bridge and section of road in North Strabane Township, this county,
designated as L. R. 62162, for and in consideration of the sum of $100.00, releasing the 09unty
of Washington and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from all damages in co=eotion with the said
improvemaent. Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that a release of damages be executed between Washington
County and John and Thomas Hodgson, owners of the property affected by the improvement of Mate
Highway Route 62090 in North Strabane Township, for and in consideration of the sum of $151.00
releasing the County of Washington and the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania from all damages in
connection with the said improvement* Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

Board, of County Commissioners in regular session, specially calked, members present being
Messrs. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil.
The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County ofWashington,
State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said county of a note for Fifty Thousand
($50,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by said Board
to wits
WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Fift* Thousand
( 50,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1942, and to be
payable out of taxes and other current revenues which have been assessed and are to be levied
and collected by the county during the year 1942, now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of County Commissioners of the said county of Washington,
that for the purpose of providing Rands for the payment of current expenses of the county, the
proper officials of the said county are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a temporary
loan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which are to be levied
and collected during the year 1942, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said
loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note there-
for, payable August 5, 1942, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one and one-
half (11) per cent* per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania*
which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated
and issued as followss

Board of County Commissioners in joint session with the County Controller for the purpose of
opening bids as per advertisement of the County Controller for Fleet Insurance for public liability
property damage, fire and theft and collision coverage on truck and automobile equipment and roa&I
building machinery owned and operated by Washington County, those present being Messrs. Berryman,
Cummins and O'Neil, and County Controller Stuart.
