Berryman, i Cummins and O'Neil* The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania, relative to the issue by the said county of a note for Fifty Thousand j (#50,000.00) Dollars as a tempagary loan, was presented, duly seconded and adopted by said Board, to -wit: j WHEREAS, It has become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of Fifty Thousand( 50,000,OG) j Dollars for the purpose of meeting current expenses for the year 1943, to be payable out of taxes and other current revenues vdiiah have been Assessed and levied, and are to be collected by the county j during the year 1943, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, By the Board of County Commissioners of the said County of Washington, that for the purpose of providing funds for the payment of current expenses of the county, the proper officials of the said county are hereby authorized and directed to negotiate a i+enporwry loan on, such terms as may be,agreed upon by them, payable out of taxes which have been levied and are to be collected during the year 1943, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan, with interest, is hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note there- for+ payable August 5, 1943, with interest from date of said note at the rate of one and one-half (1per oent* per annum, free of all taxes levied by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania, which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as follows: THE WASHINGTON UNION TRUST COMPANY, Washington, Pa., $50000() 00 There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned. Motion duly made, seconded and carried that approval be given to the execution of the Deed of Release and Quital4i.m under date of April 8, 1943, in favor of Bessie and Walter Seal, Carroll Township, in the amount of $299.00, representing compensation for land taken and/or damage to their property in connection with the improvement of State Highway Route No. 181 R 1 in said Township, along which said property is located* Motion duly made and seconded that Donald C. Hackney, R. D. #1, Amity, Pa., be appointed as Tax Collector in and for.A=vell Township in accordance with petition duly presented, such appoint- ment to cover the unexpired term of Dark R. Ulery, resigned.
