O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS 3- i Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman., that Julia Boris, California, Pa, be employed regularly as Clerk in the Washington County Real Estate Office, effective as of August 1, 1943, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Kathleen A. Davis; such appointment to cover the period from August 1, 1943 to the first Monday in January, 1944, with proviso that she may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the execution of the Agreement between Washington County and the Allegheny County Workhouse and Inebriate Asylum for the six months' period beginning July 1, 1943, and terminating six months from that date, whereby the rate of maintenance for Washington County prissners at the said institution is fixed at 85)( each per day with the additional allowance of the sun; of $1.50 for transportation of each dis- charged prisoner to the County seat. NO. 364 Office of the County Commissioners, Washington. Pa., August 2, 1943. Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil,, Motion by Mr. Berryman, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that Josephine Stoner, presently employed as 6itra Clerk in the County Commissioners' Office, be employed regularly as Clerk in that office, effective as of July 1, 194% with proviso that she may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice, such appointment to cover the period from the Offective date until the first Monday in January, 1944. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the matter of the acceptance of the provisions of Act No. 333 of 1943 relative to the establishing of certain county highways as State Highways. be referred to the County Solicitor, David H, Weiner, in order that action may be taken by the Board whereby the Pennsylvania Department of Highways will assume responsibility for the consturction, repair and.maintenanee of such highways. Motion carried. The reading of Minutes No. 361-362-363 under date of July 30# 1943, was confirmed by the Board. There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
