deferred until the bids have been tabulated, Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the payment of the sum. of #186.37 in

favor of the West Penn Power Compemy, Pittsburgh, Pa., representing the cost of relocation of
facilities of the said company on a road in North Strabane Township, near Hill Church, recorded at

No. 1 February Term, 1942,(�,Q.S., the payment of such sum to be in accordance with action of the
County Commissioners as set forth in their letter to the rifest Pecan Power Company under date of
j November 2, 1942, copy of which is on file in the Office of the County Engineering Department.
Motion carried.
Minute Not 366 was read and approved by the Board.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

Washington, Pat, September 7, 1943,
Board of County Commissioners in joint session with the County Controller for the purpose of
awarding the contract for the construction of Fishpot Run Brilge No. 2, in East Bethlehem Township,
bids for which were received on September 3, 1943, in accordance with the advertisement of the
County Controller; present for County Commissioners, Me a srvt. Berryman, Cumin ns and O'Neil; Deputy
Controller Dentel representing the County Controller,
Motion by Mr, Cummins, seconded by Mr. €"Neil, that tho contract for the construction of the
aforementioned bridge be awarded to Hoy Furman, Waynesburg, Pa.,. at his bid price of #5,994.00.
Motion carried, with Deputy Controller Dentel present when this action was taken by the Board,
and authorized to return the certified check of the unsuccessful bidder.
.The Deputy Controller was then excused from the meeting and the Board proceeded with the
regular business at hand•
Upon petition duly presented to the Board, the polling place in the 2nd Precinct of Charleroi
was designated as "1st Floor, Carothers Building, 337 Washington Avenue"; Also upon petition pre-
sented to the Board, the polling place in the Borough of Finleyville was designated as the
"Volunteer Fire Department Building"; the rental for the Polling Place in the 2nd Precinct of
Charleroi to be fixed at the rate of $20.00 for each Primary and Election, and that of the Polling
Place in Finleyville Borough to be fixed at the rate of $5.00 for each Primary and Election.
Upon motion duly made and seconded* the following resolution was adopted:
WHEREAS, The County Treasurer, on Larch 24, 1942, sold a stable on the farm of James H. Rainey
In Nottingham Township, as the property of the Fort Pitt Coal Sad Coke Company; and
TMEREAS, The assessment of the said stable as the property* of the Fort Pitt Coal and Coke Company
was in error in that the same was never the property, of the said Fort Pitt Coal and Coke Company and

title thereto at the time of the said assessment and levy was in the said James H. Rainey; now,

BE IT RESOLVED, That the said sale of the said stable by the County Treasurer on March 24,
1942, to the -County of Washington be, and the same is hereby, cancelled and the County Treasurer is author-
ized and directed to cancel the same upon his records. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Cummins and
O'Neil, Mr. Berryman being absent.
Motion duly made and seconded that the Polling Place in the lst Precinct of North Franklin
Township be designated as "Store Room in residence of Patsy Calabro, 53 Altamont Avenue, Washington
Pa.," the forsr Polling Place being no longer available, petition for the said change having been
duly presented to the Board within ten days of election, therefore, under the provisions of the
Election Code of 1937, the County Board of Elections may, upon its own motion, without posting
notice of hearing on the proposed change, take the necessary action to provide a suitable Polling
Place in any district of the county; the rental for the Polling Place of the let Precinct of
Worth Franklin Township to be fixed at the rate of S5.00 per day for the use of such storeroom
an each Primary and Election. Motion carried.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr, O'Neil, that the County Controller be authorized to
advertise for bids'for furnishing the necessary ballots for the conduct of the Municipal Election
to be held Tuesday, November 2, 1943; all bids must be submitted upon uniform specification
blanks which may be obtained in the Office of the Chief Clerk of the County Commissioners; such
bids will be received by the County Controller until 11 A.M., rWT., September 27, 1943, and opened
immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners; each bid must be accompanied by
a certified check in the amount of #500.00 and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids.
Motion 'carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized'to advertise for
supplying tally sheets, return sheets, envelopes, numbered lists of voters, Voter's Guides, etc.,
etc., required for use of the election officers at the Municipal Election to be held November 2,
1943; such supplies to be packed in 188 boxes for use in boroughs, townships and third class
cities, as may be found necessary, the bids for which will be received by the County Controller
until 11 A.M. E.W.T., Monday, September 27, 1943, and opened immediately thereafter in the Office
of the County Commissioners; each bid must be accompanied by a certified check in the amount of
#100.00 and the sight is reserved to reject arty or all bids, Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
