Board of County Commaissioners in joint session with the County Controller for the purpose of
opening bids in accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller, authorized under date
of September 10, 1943, for the furnishing of the necessary ballots for the conduct of the Munici-
pal Election to be held Tuesday, November 2, 1943, as well as the necessary tally sheets, return
sheets, envelopes, numbered lists of voters, Voterts Guides, etc,, required for use of the elec-
tion officers at the said election; present for County Commissioners, Messrs, Berryman, Cummins
and O'Neil; Deputy Controller Dental representing the County Controller.
The following bid for the necessary ballots for the coming Municipal Election, in accordance
with the aforementioned advertisement, was opened and read in the presence of the County Commaiss-
Toners: MONONGAHEI,A PUBLISHING COMPANY, Monongahela, Pa.

Approximately 105,000 regular white official ballots,

Approximately 25,000 pink official specimen ballots for election

Five sets of specimen ballots as set forth in foregoing

For printing, binding and deliverying any re -run of a ballot of any
election precinct because of error on the part of any county employee,
Minimum charge per precinct for re -run of 100 ballots or less......... $7.50
Charge for 100 re -run ballots for same precinct in addition to

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the contract for the necessary ballots
for the Municipal Election to be held November 2, 1943, be awarded jointly to the Monongahela
Publishing Company and the Ward Printing Company in accordance with the foregoing bid. Motion
carried, with Deputy Controller Dental present when this action was taken by the Board.
In accordance with the advertisement of the County Controller, the following bid for the
necessary election supplies for the coming Municipal Election was opened and read in the presence
of the County Commissioners:
William G. Johnston,, Company, Pittsburgh, Pa............ 1869,12
Motion by,Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the contract for the aforementioned
election supplies for the coming Municipal Election be awarded to the William G. Johnston Company,
Pittsburgh, Pa., at its bid price of $889.12. Motion carried, with Deputy Controller Dental
present when this action was taken by the Board,
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
