BE IT FURTHER. RESOLVED, That the County Solicitor be and is authorized and directed to take
any and all steps necessary to effect a sale of the said property,in accordance with this resolu-
tion and the order of the Referee aforesaid. Notion carried.
Minute Rio. 374 was read and approved by the Board.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, spedtally called, those present being
Messrs. Berryman., Cummins and OtNeil.
Motion duly made and seconded that the following Resolution be adopted by the Board, to -wits
WHEREAS, The following named assessors were the duly elected, qualified and acting assessors
in the districts set opposite their names:
Alex Je Columbus, Cecil Township Ruth F. Amos, Washington 7th Ward
Michael McGuire, -Charleroi Elizabeth Hazlett, North Franklin Twp.
Robert Montgomery, Washington 2nd Ward Joseph Schmitt, Donora
Yictor F Marlier, Robinson Township Roxanne, W. Taylor, Washington 6th Ward
John A. Aurig, Donegal Township Walter A. Rettig, Washington 4th Ward
AREAS, The said assessors in the performance of their duties as such did assess and value
various properties within their districts after September 2, 1942, and between that date and
December 31,111' 1942; and
WHEREAS, The assessment was made by the said assessors and adopted and used by the Couxaty
Commissioners, sitting as the Board of Revision and Assessment, and taxes were duly levied there -
on; and
WHEREAS, Payment for the services so rendered by the said assessors on and after September
:'2, 1942, was denied by reason of the expiration of the ptecept under which they were acting; and
WBEREAS, Payment of the services so rendered and adopted by the County CBmmi.ssioners is now
permitted under the decision of the Superior Court in the case of Appeal of Baldwin, At1, 2nd
773, October 9, 19430 by reason of the fact that the same was made before the expiration of their
terms of office and during the oiLl.endar year 1942; now, therefore,
BE IT RESOLVED, That the following named assessors in and for the following districts be
compensated in the amounts set opposite their names for the servicpsl rdnddred by them in the
assdssment of the property in and for their said districts and adopted by the Board of Commis-
sioners sitting as the Board of Revision and Assessment; the said compensation to be charged to
the said Board of Revision and Assessment as services rendered as assistants to the said Board
of Revision and Assessment:

Weiner, in a coordance with his letter dated November 8, 1943. relative to the payment of the aoeountsl
set forth in the foregoing,

Hoard of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berryman, Cummins
and OtHei.1.
Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the preparation of a warrant in favor of
the Pittsburgh Coal Company in the amount of $3564.62 in accordance with the agreement for the payment
of damages on State Highway Route No, 736, Section 1, also know as State Highway Route No. 857, in
Union Tovmship, filed and advertised at No, 275 November Term, 1943, to which no exceptions have been
filed. Motion carried*
Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the action of the Board, taken under
date of November 1l41943, whereby the County Controller was authorized to approve the following de-
linquent tax exoneration made by the County Commissioners in the various districts of Washington
County for the year 1942; Occupations, 45,500.80; Real Estate, 639.82; Personal Property, 11,227,821
making a total of 47,368.44, Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel the Treasurer's
Tan Sale of March 24, 1942, in the name of Ed. Callahan and Frank Harrison, covering delinquent taxes
against property described as Lot, Adj. Frank Harris Property, Fallowfield Township. such sale being
imid in view of the fact that the said assessment is in duplication with that of Rosetta Rodgers who
holds tax receipts for the payment of the taxes in question. Motion carried.
