O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS Lotion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr, O'Neil, than the budget for the Generbl. Fund of the County of Washington for the fiscal year 1943 be finally adopted as advertised by the County Cormlis- I sinners, the said budget having been available for public inspection in the Office of the Chief Clerk ' of the County Commissioners from February 19, 1943, to Larch 11, 1943, in a000rdance with the pro- visions of the Act of Assembly of July 18, 1935, and that the rate of taxation upon the valuation I of properties of the County of Washington. in order to raise sufficient re :to meet required expenditures for the fiscal year 1943, be fixed at six (6) mills which make the payment of Maces in the amount of sixty (60,d) cents upon each $100.00 of assessed valuation of read estate and occupation. Motion duly made and seconded that the Agreement be executed between Washington County end The Harrison Construction Company, Agent for the Aluminum Company of Amerioa, acting for and in behalf of Defense Plan'Corporation, covering the piAoing_of a two-inoh diameter water line for the purpose of carrying water under the Canonsburg -Thomas Road in North Strabane Townshp for a distance of fifty feet, more or less* Motion carried, Minute No. 344 was read and approved by the Board, There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned. Lotion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the execution of the Rplease of Claim under date of March 23, 1943, between Washington County and John MoCoy, covering the finals poyment of the sum of 1140.00 by the County of Washington to the said John LoCoy in connection with the operation of a stone quarry on his farm in Chartiers Township by the County of Washington. O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS 1 1 I Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorised to accept liened and delinquent county taxes without penalty and interest for the years 1937-38-39-40-41 against the property of G. W. Stephenson in the Borough of Nest Brownsville, such action being taken in co- operation with the School District and Borough Council of the said Borough. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorised to cancel the Tax Sale of April, 1940, in the name of Hallam and Berthel, covering property described as Lot 66, Morningside Plan, Canton Township, for delinquent taxes for 1931-32-33-34, such sale being void in view of the fact that the assessment covered by same is a duplication of the property now owned by Arthur W* Gromo in said township. Motion carried. Motion duly made and seconded that the County Treasurer be authorized to cancel the Tax Sale of Janmry, 1940, in the name of V. L. Jeffries, covering property described as Lot. No. 254, 215 Shirls Avenue, Washington, 7th 'Lard, for delinquent county taxes for the year 1928, such sale being void in view of the fact that the assessment covered by same is a duplication of that of J. R. Eriser in the said 7th Ward of the City of Washington,* Motion carried,* There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
