Board of County Commissioners in regular session, specially called, those present being Messrs.

t Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil.

I Motion duly made and seconded that the rate of pay for Election Board Officers and their cierk14

be changed from $5.00 to $7,50 for the first one hundred votes cast or fraction thereof, and the
I
j additional sum of 11.00 for each one hundred votes or fraction thereof; the Judge of Elections and
1 the Minority Inspector each to receive the additional sum of $2.60 for transporting the returns to
i
the county seat immediately after the count is completed, plus mileage at the rate of 51G per mile;
the said rate of $7.50 to apply also to the Conditable on duty at the various polling places in the
county, for each primary and each election, effective for the coming Primary to be held Tuesday,

September 14. 1943. Lotion carried.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.,

Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berrymw,

Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the agreement covering; the Release
of Damages executed September 11, 1943, between Washington County and Charles H. and Beulah DeFranve,
owners of certain real situate in Donegal Tomship, this county, copy of such agreement to remain
on file in the County Engineering Department. Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that approval be given to the action taken by the Board on
Monday, September 13, 1943, wherein the polling place in the 6th Ward, lst Precinct, of the City

of Washington was moved to Air Raid Post No. 21, Corner Burton and Coremont Avenues, such action
being taken as an emergency measure when it was learned that the former polling place was no longer ,
available for such use. Motion carried.
Motion duly made and seconded that the action taken by the Board under date of September 7,
1943, be recinded insofar as such action covered the change in the Polling Place in Finleysrille
Borough wherein the said Polling Place was designated as the 'Volunteer Fire Department Building%
it being necessary to recind the action taken in view of the failure the Volunteer Fire Depart-
ment to approve the use of their building for such purpose. Motion carried.
Minutes No. 367-368-369-370 were read and approved by the Board. There being no further
business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.
