carried, with County Controller Stuart present when this action was taken and instructed to return

the certified check of the unsuccessful bidder.
Minutes No. 332-333-334-335-336 were read and approved by the Board.
There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned.

Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman., that Etta Neebling be appointed as Cleaner
to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of Catherine Naser, such appointment to become
effective February 16, 1943, to cover the period until the first Monday in January 1944, with
proviso that she may be dismissed upon thirty days' notice* Motion. carried.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

Washington, Pa., February 19, 1943•
Board of County Commissioners in regular session, those present being Messrs. Berryman,
Cummins and O'Neil.
Motion duly made and seconded that the proposed budget for Washington County General Fund
for the year 1943 be made available for public inspection in the Office of the Chief Clerk of the
j County Commissioners until Thursday, March ll, 1943, on which date the said budget will be finally
adopted and the rate of taxation fixed for the year 1943, and that the following public notice be
jgiven in the Washington Observer:
In compliance with the provisions of the Acts of Assembly governing such
matters, the proposed budgets for the financial affairs for the Washington
County General Fund and the Washington County Institution District for the
fiscal year 1943 have been prepared and are available for public inspection
in the Office of the Chief Clerk of the County Commissioners, Court House,
Washington, Pa., said budgets to be finally adopted on Thursday, March 11,
1943,

Motion duly made and seconded that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids
for furnishing and delivering to the Office of the County Treasurer the following quantities of
tax statements for the year 1943:
90,000 Occupation Statements in triplicate
47,000 Real Estate Statements in triplicate
6,000 Personal Property Statements in triplicate
1.500 Blank Statements, single copy
1,500 Blank Re*eipts, single copy
Specifications for the foregoing to be seen at the Office of the County Treasurer and bids on sam
to be received by the County Controller until 11:00 A.M., E.W.T., Monday, March 8, 1943, and opened
immediately thereafter in the Office of the County Commissioners; certified check in the wount of
S100.00 must accompany each bid and the right is reserved to reject any or all bids. Motion carries
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

Board, of County Commissioners in regular session for the purpose of awarding the oontract
for the printing of 10,000 copies of the County Controller's Annual Report Books for the year
1942 in accordance wfththe advertisement of the County Controller, those present being Messrs,
Berryman, Cummins end O'Neil; County Controller Stuart also present.
'In accordance with the aforementioned advertisement, the following bid was opened and read
in the presence of the County Commissioners:
XONMIGAHELA PUBLISHING CWANY, Monongahela, Pa.
To printing 10.000 copies County Controller's Annual Report Books for the
year 1942, to contain approximately 52 printed pages including picture, for
which cuts will be furnished. Bind and cover as per sample submitted.

Charge of $52.80 will be made for additional four -page units over 52 - Credit
of #42.00 allowed on 4-page units under 52* An allowance of $1.75 will be made
for blank pages.
Certified check in the amount of $5OeO0 enclosed.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the contract for the County Controller's
Annual Report for the year 1942 be awarded to the Monongahela Publishing Company at its bid of
$598945, with a charge of $52.80 for additional four -page units over 52, and a credit of $42.00
allowed on four -page units under 62, as well as an allomnoe of $1.75 for blank pages. Motion
carried, with the County Controller present when this award was made by the Board.
