Lotion by Mr. Cunnins, seconded by Harvey Stuart, that the salary of Irene Sokol, Clerk in
the County Commissioners' Office, be fixed at the rate of #115,00 per month, effective as of July
12, 1943, to cover the period from that date until the first Monday in January, 1944. Question
called for: Voting ",Aye", Messrs. Cummins and Stuart; voting "Nay", Mr. Berryman; Mrs O'Neil
not voting. This being a majority of the votes east, the motion was declared carried,
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Stuart, that the Mary of Rosetta Kopko, Clerk in
the County Commissioners' Office, be fixed at $115*00 per month, effective as of July 12, 1943,
to cover the period from that date until the first Monday in January, 1944, Question called
for: Voting "Aye", Messrs. Cummins and Stuart; voting "Nay", Mr. Berryman; Mr. O'Neil not voting.
This being a majority of the votes cast, the motion wad declared carried.
Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Stuart, that the salary of Julia Boris, Clerk in
the Washington County Real Estate Office, be fixed at #120.00 per month, effective :August 1,
1943, to cover the period from that date until the first Monday in January, 1944. Question
called for: doting "Aye", Messrs. Cummins and Stuart; voting "Nay", Mr. Berryman.; Mr. O'Neil
not voting. This being a majority of the votes cast, the motion was declared carried.
There being no further action to be taken at this time in oonnection with salaries in the
County Commissioners$ Office, the Board adjourned to meet to adjust a matter of salary in the
County Controller's Office.

The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the matter of fixing
salaries of employees in the County Controller's Office. met in the Office of the County Com-
missioners on Friday, July 30, 1943, with the following members present: County Commissioners
Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil, and County Controller Stuart.
Motion by Mr. Stuart, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salary of June Devitis, Clerk in
the County Controller`s Office, be increased in the amount of $1.0,00 per month, effective as of
July 1, 1943, thus making her salary *150.00 per month from that date until the first Monday in
January, 1944; such adjustment being made because of her having assumed the duties of Marian
Popovich, former Clerk in the County Controller's Office, who res4gned. Motion carried.
There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned.

The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the fixing of salaries of
employees coming wader the jurisdiction of the County Commissioners, met in the Office of the
County Commissioners on Monday, August 2, 1943, with the following members present: County
Commissioners Berryman., Cummins and O'Neil, and County Controller Stuart,
Motion by Mr. Berryman, seconded by Mr. Cummins, that the salary of Josephine Stoner, Clerk
in the County Commissioners' Office, be fixed at the rate of 1125.00 per month, effective as of
July 1, 1943. and to cover the period from that date until the first Monday in January, 1944.
Motion carried.
