O'NEIL, COMMISSIONERS NO. 27-S May 9, 1940. 1 I I The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the matter of fixing salaries of employees coming under the jurisdiction of the County Commissioners, met in the Office of the County Commissioners on Thursday, May 9, 1940, with the following members present: County Commis- sioners Berryman and Cummins, Mr. O'Neil being unable to attend because of absence from the countyp and County Controller Smith. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by Mr. Smith, that the salary of Wilber W.Croner, Bookkeeper for the County Commissioners, be fixed at $150.00 per month for the year 1940t effective May 6, 1940. Motion carried. I There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned. f i E--------------- 1 j I.O. 28-S June 25, 1940, The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the matter of salaries of j employees in the County Controller's Office, met in the Office of the County Commissioners on Tuesday, June 25, 1940, with the following members present: County Commissioners Berryman and Cummins, 1.:r. O'Neil being absent because of illness, and County Controller Smith. Motion by Mr. Smith, seconded by 7111r. Cummins, that the salary of Peter Lee, employed tempor- arily as an auditor in the County Controller's Office, be fixed at 05.00 per day for the actual number of days involved. Motion carried. There being no further business before the Salary Board, the meeting was adjourned. I NO. 29-S July 15, 1940. The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the fixing of salaries of employees coming under the jurisdiction of the County Commissioners, met in the office of the County Commissioners on Monday, July 15, 1940, with the following members present: County Com- missioners Berryman, Cummins and O'Neil, and County Controller Smith. Motion by Mr. Cummins, seconded by T+fir. Berryman, that the rate of pay for extra help on the j cleaning force in the Court House, employed to replace regular help on vacation, be fixed at i k $2.00 per day for the actual number of days involved. i j ?remarks were called for by the Chairman and Mr. O'Neil made inquiry as to whether or not such action is establishing a new policy in the matter of paying extra help to replace those absent on vacation. liar. Cummins advised that such action is not establishing a new policy but is intended to cover an emergency situation because of two or more taking; vacations at the same time. Motion carried, with Kr.
