O'NEIL COMMISSIONERS Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa. , January 17, 1936 . Joint meeting of the County Commissioners and Messrs . Tague and Young ,, with their Attorney, John R. McCreight, in connection with oil and gas lease on the proposed sight of an airport and landing field in Hopewell Township, Washington County, Pa. Mr. McCreight offered the said lease to the County of Washington for the sum of $5000, without equipment, or said lease and all equipment for the sum of $6000. Upon motion duly made and seconded, the Board adjourned to give the matter further consideration and take action at a later date. There being no further business before the meeting, it was adjourned. Board of County Commissioners in regular session, each member having had personal notice of meeting, members present being Messrs. Berryman,Amos & OfNeil. The following Resolution of the Board of County Commissioners of the County of Washington, State of Pennsylvania xel&tive to the issue by the ftid County of a note for One Hundred Thousand (4100,000.00) Dollars as a temporary loan was presented, duly seconded and unanimously adopted by said Board, to-wit: WHEREAS, it 4as become necessary for said Board to borrow the sum of One Hundred Thousand ($100,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of meeting current ex- penses for the year 1936 and to be payable out of taxes and other current re- venues to be-assesbed, levied and collected dry the County during the year 1936, now, therefore, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Board of County Commissioners of said County af, Wash- ington, that for the purpose of providing funds, for the payment of current ex- penses of the County., the proper officials of the said County are hereby author- ized and directed to negotiate a temporaryloan on such terms as may be agreed upon by them, payhble out of taxes to be evied and collected during the year �936, and so much of said taxes as may be necessary to repay said loan, with in- terest, are hereby set aside and designated for that purpose, and issue a note therefor, payable August 5, 1936, with interest from date of said note -vt the rate of two and one-half (21) per cent. per annum., free of all taxes lev*ed by , the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania., which said taxes the County of Washington assumes and agrees to pay, said note to be negotiated and issued as fulls: THE WASHINGTON UNION TRUST COMPANY., Washington., Pa*,,. $1000000.00 There being no further business before the Board, the et liv was adjourned, (SIGNED) COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
