O'NEIL COMMISSIONERS Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., August 14, 1937. Commissioners in regular session, members present being Messrs. Berryman, Amos and O'Neil. Motion by 1'+fir. Amos, seconded by Mr. O'Neil that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids on a standard 2 ton International Truck, with cab and chassis, 1938 model C-300, alternate bids on 99 inch wheel base, dual tires, with and without trade-in allowance on Ford 11 ton truck, reserving hoist, the same to be received and opened on September 1, at 11 A. M. in the County Commissioners' Office, Washington, Pa. , and the contract awarded as soon there- after as can be arranged. Each bid must be accompanied by a certified check in the sum of $200.00, right reserved to reject any and all bids. Motion carried. z There being no further business, the meeting was adj ourned. Lotion by, Mr. O'Neil, seconded by .Mr. Amos that contracts in connection with i the stokers for boilers, cleaning the heating system and furnishing of thermo- stats for the Court House and Jail Buildings be awarded in accordance with recom- mendations of the consulting engineer, Peter F. Loftus, which are as follows : Proposal-Contract WC-1-37 In accordance with the instructions of the Board of County Commissioners of Washington County, Pennsylvania, we have analyzed the proposals offered to the Board on August 10, 1937, by various contractors, in connection with Proposal Contract WC-1-37, i The Specifications on which this proposal contract is based require each bidder to furnish, in connection with each proposal submitted, specific data per- tinent to price and delivery, details of design and construction, and performance values, in order to permit an equitable comparison of all proposals. A careful study and analysis of the construction and design data, performance data, price and delivery data, and other pertinent factors included in the various proposals offered in accordance with Proposal-Contract WC-1-37, supple- mented by exhaustive reviews of each proposal with manufacturers' representatives, has caused us to recommend to the Board of County Commissioners that contract awards totaling $9,447.00 be made in accordance with the recommendations set forth in the succeeding paragraphs: Proposal A: Furnishing and installing under present HR.T boilers, two single { retort underfeed stokers, complete with auxiliary equipment, i 3
