Berryman and Amos; Mr. O'Neil being absent. Motion by Mr. Berryman, seconded by Mr. Amos that the County Controller be authorized to advertise for bids for 80,000 Official Ballots more or less and 200000 Sample Ballots more or less for use in the Primary, September 14, 1937. Motion carried. There being no further business the meeting was adjourned. (S IGNE D) �J I, COTINTY COMMISS15VERS Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa. , August 10, 1937. a Joint meeting of the County Commissioners and the County Controller for the opening of bids for the stokers for the boilers and furnishing and installing new thermostats in the Court House and Jail buildings and for the cleaning of air ducts in the Court House and Jail buildings. Members present were County Commissioners Berryman, Amos and O'Neil, and County Controller John L. Post. The bids were opened by y the Count Controller and read in the presence of the County Commissioners as follows : I BID OF MR. RALPH J. MIDGIEY, PITTSBURGH, PA. Proposal to furnish, deliver and erect and place in successful operation at the Court House and Jail, Washington County, Pennsylvania the following: i (A) Two single retort underfeed stokers, under present 150 horsepower, HRT boilers, complete with motor driven forced draft fans, switchboard and control, electrical wiring and steam connections, extended coal hoppers and lower section of boiler fronts with refractory lined doors. Excavation of pit in front of two boilers, construction of concrete walls and floor of pit, excavation under the furnaces of two boilers, necessary repon- struction and relining of two boiler furnaces, ash pits, and bridgewalls, in- cluding the necessary underpinning of the present walls. Furnishing and installing of one smoke indicator. (B) Furnishing and installing new thermostats, replacing defective dampers, adjusting all dampers not replaced, thoroughly overhauling and servicing all fan, vacuum, and control equipment, including the testing of all traps and re- placement of any defective or inadequate traps, adjusting all ill-fitting win- ' doves, testing the air delivery system, and furnishing and installing any addition- al dampers found to be necessary to properly control and distribute the hot and tempering air. i (C) Thoroughly cleaning the hot and tempering air ducts, laterals, and risers of the entire system. i I
