BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA

Pittsburgh, Pa., April 4th, 1938.
The Commissioners of Westmoreland and Washington Counties met in joint
executive session in the office of John Farris, Pittsburgh, with all members
present,, to further study the necessary repair of the Webster-Donora Bridge.
The meeting organized by the election of Harry White, Westmoreland County,
as Chairmano and Jas. A. Kell, Westmoieland County,, as Secretary.
At previous meeting between the Commissioners of the two counties*' It was
agreed that� John Farris should be consulted in connection with the repair of
the bridge, and this meeting is held pursuant to previous action.
In discussing the matter,, it was thought advisable to make necessary re-
pairs as economically as pottible. Mr. Farris recommended in Inaking .these
repairs that the floor system be laid of wood with tar surface. After consider-
ing all details., the Commissioners felt that John Farris should be employed
and that an agreement and contract covering his services should be executed.
Therefore, upon motion of Mr. Kell, seconded by Mr. Amos, it was unani-
mously agreed that John Farris be employed as Engineer to prepare plans,
specifications and all necessary details for this work, and furnish field
inspection during the period of improvemeht.. ' at the price of $5.00 per linear
foot, including the bridge structure only, and that- agreement should-,,be executed
to this effect.
There being no further businessIthe meeting adjourned.
