BERRYMAN, EARL B, AMOS, JOHN N O'NEIL COMMISSIONERS Office of the County Commissioners, Washington, Pa., Sept. 22, 1938. Joint meeting of County Commissioners and County Controller for the purpose of opening bids for the furnishing of official and sa.Mple ballots and also for other election supplies necessary for the General Election to be held November 8, 1938 . Present for County Commissioners were Messrs. Berryman, Amos and O'Neil; County Controller, J. K. Smith, was also present. The following bid in connection with the necessary ballots for the November Election was opened and read in the presence of the County Commissioners: Joint bid of THE MONONGAHELA PUBLISHING CO.,,- Mononq&hela, Pa. and the WARD' PRI$TING Co. , Washington, This amount is to Include the furnishing of 90,000 Official ballots and 25,000 Official Sample Ballots, as required by Act of the Legislature. After due consideration, motion was made by Mr. O'Neil and seconded by Mr. Amos, that the contract for the ballots for the Nov. 8, 1938 Election- be awarded jointly to the Monongahela Publishing Co. , and the Ward Printing Cpmpanyo at their bid of $3985. Motion carried. Bids were also received and opened in the presence of the County Commissioners for other necessary election supplies as follows: WILLIAM G. JOHNSTON CO. Pittsburgh, $696 .74 This amount is to include the furnishing of 188 boxes to consist of Common- wealth election supplies, complete for each district,,-with the names of State and County candidates printed on return papers; each box containing a Voter's @uidep with the necessary computing books, with the candidates names printed therein. After due consideration, motion was made by Mr. OfNeil, seconded by Mr. Amos, that the contract be awarded to the William G. Johnstori-Co., at their bid of $696 .71+, all material to be delivered to the Court House, Washington, Pennsylvania. Motion carried. There being no further business to come before the meeting, it was adjourned* (SIGNED) COUNTY COMMISSIONERS.
