61 MINUTE BOOK BOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA JOHN D. BERRYMAN, EARL B. AMOS, JOHN N. O'NEIL ' COMMISSIONERS The adjourned meeting of the Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the salaries of employees of the County who are employed by the County Commissioners, or who come under their jurisdiction, met in the office of the County Commissioners at the call of the Chairman, on Thursday, January 9, 1936, at 10:15 A.M., the following members being present: County Commissioners Berryman, Amos and OtNeil; County Controller post also present. Chairman Berryman presiding. Motion by Mr. Post, seconded. by Mr. Amos, that the salary of the Soli- citor of the Washington County Commissioners, David H. Weiner, be Fixed at 2400 annualy, Question called for: Voting ??Ayer?, Messrs. Amos and Post; voting ItNort Mr. Berryman. Motion by Mr. -Amos, seconded by Mr. Post, that the salary of the Chief Clerk, T. C. Hickson, be fixed at 2280 annually. Motion uninimously carried. Motion by Mr. Amos, seconded by Mr. Post, that the salaries of the following employees of the County of Washington be fixed at the figures below for the ensuing year: W. Duncan Berryman, Voucher Clerk, County Commissioners? Office 150.per mo. Mary Lemmon, Assrt to Chief Clerk, n ►► it 120-per Owen U. Britton, Clerk in County Commissioners? Office 120. ►r Matthew B. Upon motion duly made and seconded, the meeting was adjourned to meet at 11:30 A.M. to fix salaries of County Controllers Office. The Salary Boe.rd for the County of Washington, having to do with salaries of employees in the office of the County Controller, met in the office of the County Commissioners on Thursday, January 9, 1936 at 11:30 A.M., the following members present: County Commissioners Berryman, Amos and OrNei1; County Controller Post present. O'NEIL COMMISSIONERS n 1 Motion by Mr. Post, seconded by Mr. Amos, that the following persons be appointed to serve in the office of the County Controller for ensuing year, with proviso that any of said employees may be dismissed upon 30 daysT notice, and that their salaries be fixed as follows: Edwin W. Patton, Deputy Controller, $190.00 per mo. Thomas Pyle, Bookkeeper 160.00 rr n Miss Jennie Garbinski,Stenographer 100.00 it n Upon motion made and seconded, the Board stood adjourned to meet at the call of the Chairman. The Salary Board having to do with the matter of employees and salar- ies in the office of the Prothonotary, met in the office of the County Commis- sioners, Washington, Pa., on Tuesday, January 14, 1936, at 10:30 A.M., members present being County Commissioners Berryman, Amos and O'Neil, County Controller Post and Prothonotary Walter Carson. Chairman Berryman presiding. Motion by Mr. Carson, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the following persons be employed in the office of the Prothonotary for the ensuing year, in the positions as set forth below, with proviso that any of stid employees may be dismissed upon 30 dayst notice: Russell S. Riggle, Deputy Prothonotary; Thomas H. Ullom, Clerk; John H. G nip, Clerk; Anne Murray,, Clerk. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Carson, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that the persons this day appointed as Deputy and clerks in the office of the Prothonotary be paid the following salaries: Russell S. Riggle, Deputy Prothonotary $190.00 per mo. Thomas L. Ullom, Clerk 120.00 it n Anne Murray, It 100.00 tr n John Gnip, it 110.00 n n Motion carried, Motion by Mr. Carson, seconded by Mr. Berryman, that Grace Leyland and Vilesca Mercer be employed as extra help in the office of the Prothonotary and that their salaries be fixed at the rate of $3.00 per diem for the actual time employed. Motion carried.
