HomeMy WebLinkAboutCOMM - Meeting Minutes - - 8-17-1937 - SALARYBOARD OF COUNTY COMMISSIONERS WASHINGTON COUNTY, PENNSYLVANIA JOHN D BERRYMAN, EARL B, AMOS, JOHN N. O'NEIL COMMISSIONERS The Salary Board of the Country of Washington met in the Office of the County Commissioners, Court House, Washington, Pa., on June 23, 1937, members present being County Commissioners Berryman, Amos and O'Neil and Deputy Con- troller Edwin W. Patton for County Controller Post, who was absent. Motion by Mr. Amos, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the Registrars appointed to'serve in boroughs, towns and townships, for the Permanent Registration of electors, under the provisions of Act #1150 be paid at the rate of $6.00 per diem for each of the three days fixed by the Registration Commission, viz. June 29, July 17, August 6, 1937, and an additional dayts pay, at the same rate, be allowed for the return of cards, street lists, etc., etc., to the office of the County Commissioners. Motion carried. ----------------- The Salary Board of the County of Washington having to do with matters in the office of the Recorder, met in the office of the County Commissioners on August 17, 1937; present at this meeting were County Commissioners Berry- man, Amos and O'Neil, County Controller Post and Recorder Cooper. Motion by Mr. Cooper, seconded by Mr. Amos, that Harold B. Fergus be named as solicitor for the Recorder, at a salary of $25.00 per month, beginning August 1, 1937, to fill the vacancy caused by the resignation of George Modrak. Motion carried. There being no further business before the Board, the meeting was adjourned. .---------_------- The Salary Board for the County of Washington having --to do with salaries of the operators of County equipment in the Road Depertsent, -met In the Office of the County Commissioners on Monday, November 15, 1937, members present being County Commissioners Berryman, Amos and O'Neil,and County Contro3lerp-Post. Motion by Mr. OtNeil, seconded by ]fir. Post,'that the scale of wages -affect- ing truck drivers and operators be -adopted as follows: For the Mack Truck and Shovel 750 per -hour For the small trucks 6 5* per= ho'rr; Above scale to be effective -as of. -November 1, 1937.
