O'NEIL COMMISSIONERS January 11, 1938. The Salary Board of the County of Washington having to do with the matter of salaries and employees in the Office of the Prothonotary, met in the Office of the County Commissioners on Tuesday, January 11, 1938, at 10:00 A.M., with the following members present: County Commissioners Berryman, Amos and O+Neil; Prothonotary Carson, and County Controller, J. K. Smith. Motion by Mr. Carson, seconded by Mr. Smith, that the salaries of the employees 4 in the Office of the Prothonotary be fixed as follows, effective January 3, 1938: Russell Riggle, Deputy $200.00 per month Thomas Ullom, Clerk 140.00 n it Ann Murray, Clerk 130.00 n ►r John Gnip, Clerk 140.00 n n" Valesca Mercer to be employed regularly, with provisdithat she may be dismissed upon thirty days+ notice, at a salary of 9100.00 per month; that when necessary to employ an extra clerk for Court service, the rate of pay is to be 94.00 per day. Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Amos, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the salaries of the women cleaners in the Court House be fined as folloos, effective January 3, 1938: Ruth Bebout $55.00 per month Catherine Naser 55.00 n 'r Laura Shields 55.00 n n Belle Moulden 45.00 n n Vivian Hooe, Matron 45.00 n rr Emma Boise 45.00 n n Nellie Manning 45.00 n n Lula Henry 45.00 rr ++ Bessie Clutter 45.00 n n. Lottie Maurer 45.00 r► n Motion carried. Motion by Mr. Amos, seconded by Mr. O'Neil, that the hour men be paid at the following rates, beginning January 17, 1938, an increase being necessary in order to comply with the 44-Hour Law and that Road & Bridge Department be instructed to keep within the 44-hour week, except in cases of extreme emergency: Chief Draftsman TA1.05v per hour Draftsmen ?59i n n Shovel Operator 900 ►r n Roller Operator 900 rr n Drivers -Large Truck 90,E it r► Drivers -Small Trucks 800 rr it Skilled Labor 750 rr n Caretakers and General Labor 600 r► n Casual Labor 550 n n Motion carried.
