O'NEIL COMMISSIONERS November 14, 1938. The Salary Board of the County of Washington, having to do with the salaries of employees -coming under the jurisdiction of the County Commissioners, met in the Office of the County Commissioners on Monday, November 14, 1938, with the following members present: County Commissioners Berryman and OfNeil, County Controller Smith and Clerk of Courts, Irene Burroughs; also present were D. H. Weiner, Solicitor for the County Commissioners and P. V. Marino, Solicitor for County Controller. The following letter was presented by Mrs. Irene Burroughs, Clerk of Courts: TO: The County Commissioners and The County Controller November 14, 1938. Greeting, Inasmuch as we have been unable to have the salary board meeting which I requested about seven weeks ago, I am taking this means of advising you that beginning November lst, 1938, Mary L. Meiser is not in the employ of the Clerk of Courts. The vacancy has been filled by F. L. Burroughs, temporarily and the salary is to be paid to that person. Due to the uncertainty of conditions ex- isting in this office it is impossible to make a permanent arrangement, thus I beg your indulgence. Very truly yours, IRBNE B. BURROUGHS Clerk of Courts. In accordance with the foregoing letter, motion was made by Mrs. Burroughs, seconded by Mr. Smith, that the appointment of F. L. Burroughs as Deputy Clerk of Courts be made as of November 1, 1938, at a salary of $125 per month. carried. Motion 1 1 1 1
